  1. ๐Ÿ‘ Indeed, it seems to be urgent to build or find iron rotors... A lot cheaper, at least in the USA : https://soulpp.com/product/mclaren-600lt-720s-girodisc-iron-rotor-conversion/ it looks like the 540C is a "bargain" now to enter the McLaren world. Not as fast and exclusive as a 600LT, but it must be fantastic with more reasonable running costs (and even more for the ones ready to remap the engine). It must be tempting if you live in Great Britain and have a similar budget to the Lotus Exige 410/430 ones.
  2. ๐Ÿ˜ Do you plan to use it a lot on track ? Is the running cost comparable to a Porsche GT3 on track ? Does it have known issues under hard usage ?
  3. Maybe it's in my head but it seems logic : I feel the car stability is degrading above 160 km/h without the hard-top, as if the rear was floating a little bit sometimes (mine is a sport 380 with original aerodynamic parts). Not scary, but noticeable compared to lower speeds.
  4. I choosed to have a Lotus baffled sump fitted on my sport 380 when I bought it, before I knew the rubber gate flaps had to be serviced... But last time I saw my dealer he was not categoric on the frequent servicing interval considering my car is not intensively used (only one or two trackdays per year).
  5. You can get the carbon rear diffuser finisher here : https://www.deroure.com/partinfo.asp?MAK=1&MDL=40&TBL=11922&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=B132U1315F&SC=1&PBID=1483594 The web site "the-chariot" seems to provide high quality products ๐Ÿคจ but I agree all prices look to be bargains (however I don't know about shipping costs and export taxes, and VAT ? ) https://www.facebook.com/chariotmotorsports
  6. Nice tips ! Is it detailled in the "LOTUS VEHICLE SERVICE INFORMATION", or is it reverse engineering ?
  7. I hope so, as it is told in the press release it would be a shame if it is not true
  8. ๐Ÿ˜ nice hard-top with v weave pattern Is the outside look really close to the OEM one's ?
  9. It looks like it is not the same in France ๐Ÿคฃ I suppose it's a typo (Sport 410 also, 43.5 l )
  10. Lotus website claims 40 l for sport 350 (and previous models as far as I know), 43.5 l for sport 410 (strange, it must be 48 l ?), 48 l for sport/cup 380 / cup 430 Have latest sport 350 models been upgraded to 43.5 l ?
  11. My shot is probably a little bit overexposed and the color looks lighter than what I saw in real. But as it is supposed to be "laser blue" like the one of Exige S1, it is quite light in the bright light.
  12. No I forgot to get interior shots. You can see some on the dealer's website : https://www.lotus-verhiest.com/fr/new-cars/new-stock/lotus-exige-sport-410-3 https://www.lotus-verhiest.com/fr/new-cars/new-stock/lotus-exige-sport-410-2 These cars are really good looking, even if it is just a little bit of paint, stickers and new seats colors. But I don't like the plastic diffuser finisher on 410, it looks a little bit cheap compared to the carbon one on my 380 (but mine lacks the chargecooler ๐Ÿ˜ญ ) I don't understand the price of this special edition when I see the price of standard sport 410. Do Lotus have decided to sell them at a lower price than the standard sport 410 ? Or is it missing a few equipments and details (3 ways Nitron are there) ? the painted wing is GRP, so cheaper than carbon ? Is it because the dealer is stuck with this old sport 410 which was more expensive last year ? https://www.lotus-verhiest.com/fr/new-cars/new-stock/lotus-exige-sport-410
  13. I have seen two of them in real at my dealer (Verhiest). Very beautiful
  14. It is totally overpriced for a RHD sport 380 if it is the real price (and not for a sport 410 as advertised). Why are you interested in it ?
  15. OK. I have not found specific information for ILFR7B8 , but here are general information from NGK about torque depending on spark plug type, size, and cylinder head : https://ngksparkplugs.com/en/resources/spark-plug-installation If LFR7AIX is another compatible reference (according to ), we can suppose the appropriate torque is : Torque Specs: Cast Iron: 18-25.3 lb. ft. Aluminum: 18-21.6 lb. ft. (21.6 lb.ft = 29.3 N.m - corresponding to the 30 N.m you mentioned as an upper limit) https://www.ngk.com/product.aspx?zpid=9875
  16. Thank you. Any advice on the torque required for the spark plugs ?
  17. Really nice ! I did not know the "F1 black" color. Is it something really special, or just a metallic black ? Does the rear panel have to be unmounted to be painted ?
  18. Really good looking, and it is a good price to get this resprayed I think I will get mine resprayed too as the matte paint has some stains I have never succeeded to remove
  19. Thanks. Yes I saw you got it for your rear wheel arches. Good to hear a positive feedback about your friend's experience. It cannot be the same quality and lifespan as a full high price PPF, but if it is decent in terms of protection and transparency, it may be what I need and better than nothing.
  20. I had mine fixed under warranty, it was starting to have the problem (380 2017).
  21. Hi Does anybody know the quality of aliath protection film kits ? https://www.aliath.co.uk/collections/lotus I am wondering if it is worth it to get the "Front Bumper Bonnet Nose CLEAR Shield" (and if I will be able to fit it correctly...) https://www.aliath.co.uk/collections/lotus/products/lotus-elise-s3-2011-front-bumper-bonnet-nose-clear-shield For sure a full PPF on the bonnet fitted by specialists would be the best solution, but at 10 times the price, wouldn't it ? Maybe the aliath kit would be an interesting trade-off for me : protecting the more exposed zone without being too visible. My car is metallic grey.
  22. No, the 410 has the 430 uprated clutch (240 mm)
  23. Why would it be only a flaw for 380 and not for 410/430 ? Bad quality of the catalysts when the 380 were built ? And is there another official fix than replacing the faulty catalyst with the same one ?
  24. Do you mean the clutch used in Exige 410/430 and Evora 4x0 ? 2500/3500 โ‚ฌ seems cheap (compared to what I have heard in France, almost 5 kโ‚ฌ). Was it done at Komotec without removing the clamshell or engine, or do you have a very cheap local garage ? 50 000 km is not bad, I fear mine will break at a lower mileage (Sport 380) as I have seen few cases of Sport 350 and Sport 380 having them to be replaced at 10 or 20 000 km (road and track usage) The second point I fear are the weak catalysts. Someone I know bought a second hand Sport 380 (I don't know the mileage but probably less than 25 000 km), he drove 20 minutes on track before one of the catalyst broke into pieces and was pushed down into the exhaust line... It looks like 2bular is right : https://www.2bular.co.uk/exige-380/76mm-engine-protection-kit
