  1. Hiya Mark, Can you please share details? Type. model. price etc. Would be great to be able to stay out after dark 🤣 ...when we are next allowed out.
  2. I wrote about it here. Hope it helps. Tuning Nitron 3-Ways for personal taste.
  3. Welcome to the 410 club. 👍 perfect choice. Congrats.
  4. So many positive reactions, thumbs-up, cameras-out, etc. But perhaps the best for me is to see people turn around to see what is coming up behind them. They can hear the 410 howl, even at low speed and they turn to look. There is no age or sex stereotype: it will be young or old, male or female, it happens almost every time. My daughter loves the "Lotus Face" as she calls it - worn by everyone who turns to look, aghast. I expected this car to be epic to drive. I had no idea it would be epic to own.
  5. Well i test drove a 350 and a 380 and a 410 and i bought a 350. The 380 was noiser in a great way than the 350 but it didnt feel much quicker. Then i drive a 410 again around Hethel track and soon after i bought a 410. It really is a very different car than the 350 in so many ways. For me there is no contest between the 350/380 and the 410. But there is a chunk of money that separates them. Each to their own etc.
  6. Yes you are right but 'crash repairs' is more alarming than his explanation for each which were very minor in truth; one being a bike pedal scratch which required paint. Your point remains good though, the sold price was less than the purchase price with buyers premium added. Although the seller doesnt get the premium so in my opnion when assessing values as a possible seller, the relevant number is the sold price.
  7. Try www.collectingcars.com. I saw a 350 sell on there recently for £32,500
  8. i know this is a chunk of change BUT i think its a cool thing to receive and lovely to get such insight into your car and its uniqueness or otherwise.
  9. Ah I think he's really watchable. He was just getting into his own stride at TG when they dropped him.
  10. Brilliant review by Rory Reid. That Roadster looks epic on the road. If I didnt have an Exige already I'd want one!!
  11. I always hesitate to do this, as i dont want to 'bash' the brilliant 350... but... 18-months agi I bought a brand new 350 and traded it 7 weeks later for a new 410. the two cars are £20k adrift and many, including me when i chose the 350, think the cost increment to get the 410 is not worthwhile. i quickly admitted i was wrong. The 410, IMO is easily so much more in almost every way. Its a very different car to drive and to behold. So, my concluding response to you is this: if you can bag a late-used 410 for £65K+ do it. if you want a raw driver's car then it is the one to go for. -- accepting of course the 430 Cup is another £15k+ again... as for speed of sale... all exiges appear to take a long time to sell. they are made in small numbers to satisfy small demand IMO.
  12. I know of this car. Really beautiful blue and tan colours. It was owned by a forum member here or on Facebook. Not sure of their name. It is a real beauty. Stratton is also a very good garage to deal with. I bought my 410 from them new and they have since serviced it twice now. Everytime, great service.
  13. Well chaps, i think the 410 wing is the perfect incarnation of an exige wing. The 430 is a bit too straight and the 350/V6S is only IMO a thing of beauty on the car when painted to match the car; at which time it comes into its own as the next best thing.
  14. My 8-9 year old daughter was very happy to be in the back of my 911... but at 10 she was starting to resist. She is a normal height kid.
  15. Did you lower the 430 G or did it just 'settle' over time and miles?
  16. Both really good-looking cars. The V6S appears to sit lower on its suspension than the 430. Is that a camera angle thing or is it so?! i see you reversed the top pic 🙂
  17. How on earth do you get such even exposure @GFWilliams? Superb!
  18. it is different on different screens for me too. i love it.
  19. That’s lovely. Is it cyan blue?
  20. That Reg. plate X6 CUP looks familiar. Sure I’ve seen it before.
  21. Hi @Kristof Thys yes that may be the case. I also posted on the FB group for "Lotus Owners and Enthusiasts" and had lots of inputs, much of which suggested the same. i.e. pipes are super cold in use. car sits for 1 hour in seering sun and lots of condensations gathers on pipes etc. on restart system calls for 100% cooling and freezes condensation blocking pipes. Good advice was to: 1. run with AC off for a while to rest the system and thaw the pipes and then try again. if AC blows colder and fans blow harder then system was probably frozen. Fix: move sensor that tells the AC how to perform further away from heat source. 2. If system doesnt improve on a cooler day, then have AC system checked for leaks. Update: i ran the car in the garage for 20 mins late last night. AC did blow colder and fans did blow harder. Big water puddle on floor behind front driver's wheel (RHS UK) after a while running. water was clear and odourless. Manual basically says: "You bought a lightweight car, we fitted a tiny AC system which only really works in luke warm weather. expect nothing more." 🤣 Conclusion: car worked well on way out as it came out of a cool garage and so the AC had a headstart. On way home AC had no chance.
  22. Today I drove for an hour with the AC on cold and the fans on high and the car was very nice inside. Outside temp was 34degsC. I parked in the sun, got out, locked the car and left it for almost 1 hour. Then when I went back to the car and restarted it to drive away the AC was never very cold on the 1 hour trip home and the fans at times were not very powerful. Strange. The fan did adjust to all 3 speed settings but it was at times quite weak. my car is 11 months old with 5k miles. It has until now been almost faultless. Sound familiar to anyone? TIA
  23. wow @C8RKHMcDonalds has clearly seen inflation since i last dined out with my wife! 🤣
