  1. This is my dodgy AF drawing around the area, so the whole sill from behind the front wheel is done as usual then an additional layer over where is it highlighted, which is where all my damage was done and can be taken off and replaced for less than 1/2 the price etc.
  2. will love it. I tore up the PPF (did its job perfectly) on the sills after going a little wide at PI, when I replaced it and got a double layer, base layer covered the complete sill, as normal, the second one partially covers it, like the factory, which will make it cheaper and quicker to replace when it gets destroyed next time....and in that part of the exige there will be a next time..

My Cup 2s are coming up for replacement and I am considering the options, replace with same, try A052s (I am doing handful of track days a year) or move to a more road based tyre that is better in the wet, in daily traffic etc. Sizing is a problem as i would like PS4S, but PS4 in a 275/35 are available, not ideal but seems pretty close. Interested in others experiences and opinions.
  4. I was looking at this and as above the dealer said it was do drama to retro fitted, just needs a couple of holes, as above, my biggest issues were the availability of the soft top (might be a local thing) and that 9 out of 10 I see on the road drive with the roofs on (which is a local thing).

Mine works fine, it was installed by the dealer and I haven't really touched it, the data logging for TD is great and having a speedo I can read "in the moment" is license saving...I have no complaints and there are have been a large number of these being installed now. Reading through the comments it appears to be the early adopters and those that like to fettle that appear to have the issues...which I think is entirely unsurprising and to be expected.
  6. Yeah, my fuel lights comes on around then as well. Haven’t quite got into the rhythm of it, ie how much fuel is left but guessing around 10 litres, so ~100km depending on how it is being driven.
  7. How do Yokohama A052s, (which are available in the correct size), compare to Cup 2s? Are they equivalent in their respective ranges?

  9. My recent favorite is taking a few days to drive around 1,500km on some magnificent roads with a few other guys, all driving Porches. When we had stopped for a break at the top of one mountain a couple of cyclists rode past, stopped briefly, surveyed the cars then one said "Lotus wins" and they both kept riding... it is fair the say the other boys were a bit put out😂
  10. The cable/handle in my 410 snapped and i know a few others that have had the same has been fine since fixed and I open it a few times a week. I was told if it feels tight to put a bit of pressure down on the lid where the lock as the catch to allow it to release.

I picked up an 410 Exige a year ago and also have a 2008 Jaguar XKR (sentimental) plus wife has usual SUV, my son is driving an 2014 Honda Accord which he is currently looking to sell to get something more interesting (which is great)....I have been driving the 410 almost daily with the Jag once or so a week, love both...very different and love both for what they do. My total km per year will be around 15k. What are everyone’s thoughts on the pros and cons of keeping the Honda as an extra car for emotion free motoring?
  12. Is there an after market fuel filler cap that doesn’t need a key? aluminium would be ideal.
  13. Do the pads have a 'early-warning' component built into them, like some pads have a metal band that makes a noise to show the pads are wearing down?
  14. You can get the warning coded out so the light turns off after a couple of seconds and no chime.
  15. Apologies if this has been done before, but why is there a different centre ‘spine’ between cars, it seems a bit random ie. same model but different style?
  16. Dealer put this switch in my 410, works a treat, took 15 minutes, no reprogramming and the display in the dash shows up when it is open/closed. It so much more convenient than blocking off the hose, I can drive to the office early and keep the neighbours happy then open it on the way home when I need to clear my head.
  17. No I haven't tried them, just looking for options as there aren't many and it seemed in a similar category. I suspect the Trefeos will be have a lower track time. I am looking for an acceptable balance between track and street as I have been dailying the 410 for most of the week, so its important for me to get an tyre that is acceptable on track as well as coping with a cold/wet drive in traffic rather than outright lap time, particularly as my driving capability is well below that of the lotus.
  18. Doc, Did you consider the Yokohama AD08R at all? Appear to be available in Australia in the correct sizes.

In my 410, and probably the 350, the wiring loom for the exhaust button to open the valve is still there, just not the button, so instead of blocking the pipe I got the dealer to wire in a switch so I can now open and close the exhaust at the press of the button. It may also be coded in somehow as the ex.vale open message comes up on the dash screen.
  20. Doc, I am in Melbourne and will have the same dilemma, interested In the how you find the Trofeos and cost difference between SSC supplies Michelin’s.
