Is this for real?!?!? Brilliant!

Excellent point Trevor. The 'delay' would actually seem to play right into the current economic situation and positions Lotus for success as the market and consumer demand return to normal levels.
Charlotte Area "Cars and Coffee"
Date: Jan 3rd (The first Saturday of each month- weather permitting)
Time: 9 am- 11am (or until you want to go home)
Location: North Lake Mall (I-77 Ext 18) Panera Bread Co. (Between Panera and Fox and The Hound)
6801 North Lake Mall Drive- Charlotte NC 28216 #704.921.0013
The concept is similar to what they have in Los Angeles and a few other cities in the US called "Cars and Coffee". It is a gathering of mature car owners who just want to get together with other owners with similar interest representing many different makes and models of cars. It is a monthly gathering on the 1st Saturday of each month. The second event will be on January 3rd (weather permitting), @ 9:00 am-until. That way you can hang out in the morning, talk a bit, gawk at cars, gather those who want to go for a drive and still have the rest of your Saturday to do your 'honey do lists'. Whoever shows up, shows up. You come and go as you please.
We meet and park at North Lake Mall ext 18 off I-77 near the Panera Bread Company (separate parking between Fox and the Hound and Panera- that way we are out of the normal Panera traffic and have the lot to ourselves- it makes for better photo opportunities!).
In our first event on December 6th we had 45+ cars show up, which was amazing! It was well attended by owners from Charlotte, Lake Norman area, Winston Salem, Greenville-SC, Hickory, and Greensboro. We had several makes and models represented which was great. It included : Acura NSX, Lotus, GT-R (3), Ferrari, BMW, Audi, Z-Cars, Porsche, Mercedes, Mini, S2000, etc. . . .

Georgio - I too am sorry to hear about your mother. As Paul said, hopefully she can be made comfortable.

I'm with everybody else - Hillys thread is amazing, but a year too old. It's Mike's V8 thread for me then.

Which kit did you use for the wheel?
Posted December 17, 2008
I'm using the same cable/software as Wayne and love it.
the cover is actually quite large. It is held on bu a single thumbscrew that covers not only the OBD port, but the other electics located on the same board.

soo.... you are keeping the esprit, right?
Posted December 15, 2008
There should indeed be a plastic cover for the OBD port in the rear. Mine has one.
The local Lotus and Ferrari clubs work well together, and generally invite each other to events such as this. We went last year, but the weather was awful, keeping many of the toys from coming out to play. This year the weather was perfect and we had a great turnout. There were many Italians, including a gorgeous Diablo, as well as a smattering of British and German hardware

hmmmm... that might be grounds for divorce
doesn't make an appreciable difference in sound.
the hole is there on the US models, but covered with a plastic or rubber grommet
Perhaps Lefty could arrive in charlotte and be part of the convoy down to LOG where he could be turned over to Cameron. I am hoping to have quite a contingent on the 400 mile drive.

I can only dream about my employer throwing a Christmas party like that. Now is not a good time to be in banking
