You do need to tell the tire shop that you have foamed the tire. The right combination of wheel material / tire removal tool / tire foam can spark and cause fires. Trust me, I've seen it (not on the Esprit)
I do car a can with me, but would only use it as a last resort. I would bin any tire on the Esprit that has been repaired. I don't want to trust my life to a repair at triple digit speeds.

Thank everybody! The whole weekend is a bit of a blur, but I did get down to a car show in South Carolina yesterday. I'll post some pics once I get around to playing with the camera.

A new rad is going to be my winter project.

I just replaced my battery with a red top optima about 6 months ago. I had the alternator rebuilt at the same time. Everything has been fine since then, except if I leave the car for a week or so, at which point the lights popup on cold start. I've also found that I need to really drive the car to allow the battery to fully charge. Jsut running it around town for 5 miles won't do it.

Mark I was going to say pop round and borrow the one I made as I wont need it for a good few years..... but it seems I may have just brought an other Esprit project car that needs a body off resto .... ooops aparently they are better behaved in pairs ?

Just came across this free racing simulator. Doesn't look like anybody has designed an Esprit for it yet. I had to change the controls to use the keyboard rather than the mouse, but other than that it's pretty good. Definitely not an arcade game - the physics are fairly realistic.

You might try the crank trigger. If it gets flaky, it won't send the ECU the correct signal to fire.

OK, I got the car started. Is it normal for the low fuel light to come on when the immobilizer is disabled?
