  1. Yes that blue is amazing ! Don’t know what color I’ll choose when the time comes, most looks good. Yellow, green and blue feels fitting for the S3.
  2. Couldn't say it better guys ! I'm not a drug guy but trying a Lotus sure felt like trying a new one ! I was so happy when I got out, couldn't believe the feelings I got when I drove it mildly hard on some B roads. Everything comes with a sense of occasion when driving it, having to work for it instead of being assisted by a gazillion of systems and neutered by a dead steering like in so many cars is amazing. And having that raw sound right behind your ears is very nice too. It also helped that the sales guy was very friendly and helpful, as well as Patricia the lady who scheduled the test-drive over the phone and called me back right after to see if I liked it. Great experience from start to finish. I heard the S3 was near the end of its life and some new models would be replacing it not that far away with 4 and 6 cylinders AMG engines.
  3. Hi there ! Just found this forum after looking up about the Elise S3 on the internet. The reason I was looking it up is because I test-drove a Cup 250 this week and it was an awesome experience. I bought a new ND Miata 6 months ago but the Elise drive just opened my eyes about what a "real" driver's car can be ! The Elise Cup 250 is so visceral I never felt that behind a wheel. I work on a side project with my father, we have an automotive/motorcycles news website and we review frequently cars and bikes. So I had the occasion of trying several powerful vehicles like the latest Mustangs, Audi RS5, Jag F-Type and so on. But light is indeed very right as our British friends like to say. That's why I chose the MX-5 as my personal daily, but the Elise I drove was on another level entirely. The non-assisted steering makes everything feels so alive, the car being so low and light makes everything feeling like light-speed and you just DRIVE the car while the engine howls behind your ears. And the car is glued to the asphalt it's amazing, you can take corners at speeds you'd be afraid of in some other performance cars. It also quite the eye-catcher, I love the look and passers-by do too but in a nice manner, not the same attention you get when driving a brand new Cayman for instance. Didn't mind the comfort and the noise, really though it'd be tougher than that but it's not. So I'm currently saving up to switch to an Elise S3, still unsure about Cup vs Sport since it will be my only vehicle. Not planning on having kids with my wife and I don't drive to work so should work OK. I cancelled my planned modifications on my MX-5, was about to install the full OEM Aero Kit and get it ceramic-coated but I'll keep the money for the Elise downpayment now. Well that's it for me, wanted to introduce myself since I'll be lurking a bit in here to read about the Elise and Lotus in general. Enjoy your awesome cars and can't wait to be part of the club Cheers from Paris. Edit : a picture from that little beast !
