Hi I should be able to attend 😁 -
I've also just had my call from Lotus this afternoon confirming a June delivery date , as noted above, details of finance, delivery and trade in will be confirmed in January along with hopefully test driving slots with dealers but she did say May which seems a bit late. I put my order in the 7th July for the V6 (my spec below)

Hi count me, Neil -
If Lotus can afford, big stands at Goodwood and Jenson Button etc, its a pity to hear that the roadshows are bit disappointing, but I was very impressed at Goodwood, so I'm surprised how underwhelming the first reports are. having had Porsches for 10 years it shouldn't be to hard for Lotus to show the bigger brands they can do it well. For Lotus to grow their market they need to impress a lot of new customers the foundations are built on the Emira, lets hope that they are listening and once orders are confirmed, we get the offer of proper test drives, factory tours etc, it can't be to hard they have a full size test track.

Ahhh brilliant that's really helpful it brought it into much better context, I'm happier with that, I'm guessing on a sunny day it will look even better. Thanks

The colours are very different from the configurator (I'm not surprised but disappointed) see below the difference is huge. I've gone with the magma red for now, at least we can change our options for a few weeks yet. I've got a few weeks before the roadshow hits essex.

V6 £3k order placed 😁 placed my original deposit on the morning of the 7th July, I’d echo the comments from others very slick process, there is I’m told a problem sending email confirmation of orders so there may be a delay in getting an email back from them with order summary etc. Now for the roadshow and the winter wait

Sunday Breakfast 18th April, Essendon Country Club

Hi count me in -
I thought I would share my experience adding central locking to my Esprit following on from a previous thread, Central Locking - Anyone else done it? - Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC - The Lotus Forums going back 10 plus years. The kit I bought was from Ebay (see picture), it comes with the control unit, two fobs, two actuators and all the cables, brackets and fixings for £30, I started on the passenger door as I wanted to take the power supply from the cigarette lighter supply (my driver door cigarette lighter doesn’t have power). Removing the door panel is straight forward, remove the two screws one each side and loosen (don’t remove) the 3 screws holding the door latch, the trims around the latch unclip and come off quite easily. With these off the door panel can be easily slide off and lifted out. There is a plastic sheet taped inside, this is a factory install detail, and pulled off easily. I took this of and reinstated once I’d finished. If you review the thread above you will see that the location of the actuators is quite critical to the success of the project I found that the best position was just able the door lock (see photos) and only needed a couple of holes drilled into the fix. The controller also fitted in nicely into the panel next to the window motor. Wiring up was easy taking power for the cigarette lighter was easily done, setting the actuator up is also quite straight forward, I reversed the cables to match the switching on the remote. Threading the cables through the door and into the car either required drilling a hole or looping the cables around the door frame, I went for the later pulling the cables through some electric cable I repurposed (see pictures, I’ve tidied this up since the photo) The install on the drivers side is exactly the same. My biggest challenge is / was that the actuator isn’t powerful enough to lock / unlock and throw the internal latch on the inside, I oiled and lubricated all the movable components but I still found that it would not work, so I have disconnected the bar to the inside lock. ( I can use the remote to lock the doors from inside if required). You will spend hours fiddling to make sure it works, I would say I spent 10 hours doing the install, it is fiddley and as with everything Esprit one things leads to another. I’m very happy with the install it works well. Door Video Mar 21.mov Door Video Mar 21.mov 385127572_DoorVideoMar21.mov

Hi I got new sets of keys from Timpson's (I live in chelmsford) I think they were Suzuki blanks me used. -
Hi my first problem after 9 months of ownership. I wonder if anyone can help advise how I can stop a small leak that has appeared in the driver side oil cooler hose pipe to the front of the car. Thanks
