  1. I'm sure it's been around for more than a year......maybe two....
  2. I wish you luck but I really can't see you getting a straight Evora S for £30k......they just haven't dropped that low. A category S car or accident damaged maybe....but I haven't seen one of those in years Good luck!
  3. I had to let mine go due to divorce therefore loss of a driveway/garage/move into the city. I'm incredibly sad, but, it was the right thing to do. It sounds like right now the Lotus may be additional stress that you don't need..... I think a lot of people will say keep her....but from my previous experience with cars.. once you get to the point of basically listing it and coming up with a price you want......then its time to let go.......
  4. The forums work......The car has stayed in the community and gone to a great new home! Cheers all.
  5. Due to a very sad change in circumstances, I would consider selling mine but its 63k miles.... 2013 Sports Racer. Manual gearbox. I'd be looking for £30k to 35k...... Even if the mileage is too high for you, you're more than welcome to look round it anytime. I'm in London. Cheers
  6. Just to help build a picture..... Checked my 2013 SR this morning... No cracks thankfully!
  7. Don't want to jinx her.....But she's been great again!!!! Let's see. Doing more miles next few weeks. Will update again end of the month. Thanks Gav
  8. My fault!! Clicked the link and then scrolled down not up!!! Cheers Bravo.
  9. How much are you looking for? Any pictures of the lenses? Thank you
  10. The elise shop ones have only lasted a year for me before fading as well.......
  11. I've had those codes.....I wish I could give you a straight answer to fix it though! Easy things to try first .... . Fully charge battery. Clean and manually push throttle butterfly. Unplug and contact clean throttle body connection...... Change/clean MAF. Harder things to try.... Brake and clutch pedal sensors......... I could go on
  12. Not too bad actually. Rear seat base up. Undo 4 small bolts on access door. 4mm hex. Be careful not to round off! Unclip some connectors. Carefully undo about 8 10mm nuts. Don't lose washers or nuts! Slowly pull out pump and housing. Take to dining room table. Sprinkle petrol liberally around the dining room floor and table. Unclip bottom of pump housing. Pull out old pump. Cut off old pump connector and solder on new one provided with kit (most fiddly bit of job) Reassemble. No particularly difficult bits. You need a soldering iron and fresh air. Won't make any difference if tank empty or full. Theres a guide somewhere I saw. I bought the kit from Monkey Wrench Racing.
  13. Same as yours. Pretty dirty and almost black. Few bits of visible swarf but not blocked........
  14. Yeah blimey! The fumes are intense!!!! There was some swarf at the bottom of the tank (not sure where that's come from) so had my head in it for a little while sucking bits out. I feel strange. Thanks for your help mate
  15. Fuel pump and filter changed....... She's behaving well and feels better.. ..... Fingers crossed.......need to try a long drive really. Thanks all so far!
  16. None at all! Not sure how. Label on the box says car parts......(not the dodgy thing of "industrial sample" etc)
  17. I wouldn't normally do a post like this but I'm literally in disbelief and thought this may help others out..... Part of my latest crusade to have a fully functioning Evora is fuel pump replacement..... Lots of help from others, especially the incredibly helpful man that is @21gg I found the fuel pump kit I needed..... But. It was in America. Evora is the 3rd car so I thought I could wait for a weeks shipping and maybe some customs clearance time....it was after all nearly 25% cheaper than any UK or EU option.... Order placed with Monkey Wrench Racing in Michigan on Monday afternoon......this Monday, yes, two days ago..... Lunchtime today......fuel pump arrives. Its made it in basically 2 days! I'm sorry but that has blown my socks off. Next cheapest option was a UK site at £200 delivered. I got same one for £145 delivered in the same time frame. Moral of the story, don't discount US part suppliers!
  18. Sorry maybe ive misunderstood the above.........i thought you said issue remained after loom changed...hence they moved on to ECU?
  19. I would have bought one with you! Could have each saved some money on postage! Let us know how much difference it makes please. Cheers
  20. @CocoPops I fully appreciate this was 5 years ago now, so apologies everyone... But @CocoPops was this ECU change the final solution? Did the problems ever reoccur? Thank you. Sorry for dragging up old threads.
  21. The only problem with diamond cut is the corrosion that seems to creep in.......rare that you manage to avoid it. I'd be tempted to say the larger wheels finished in a colour called shadow chrome..... They powder coat the wheel black and then hand spray silver over it. Google it, looks great. Not too light and not too dark......
  22. Fuel pump and filter sound like the next logical steps! I think mine sat for a period of time at some point in its life so could have had some in tank corrosion as well...... Will PM you.....
  23. Fuel pressure is one that interests me......fuel pump is reasonably loud when you press the immobiliser button...not sure if they all slightly loud? Not found anyone else who has changed a fuel pump...... Changed that as well! I also keep thinking throttle body......but its a serious expense......so want to be more sure before buying one. What I don't understand is how it's so sporadic.....surely if a part had failed, then really it shouldn't work anymore, but there's times when the car is absolutely perfect! Thanks all so far. Its genuinely appreciated!
  24. Right. I suspect this may be a long one so I apologise in advance. My car is being rather strange. Half the time it drives beautifully with no issues. The other half of the time, she's a nightmare. The main symptoms are..... Uneven idle and cutting out. Lack of power. Especially evident at motorway speeds when the accelerator pedal almost stops working. Just loads of hesitation and power loss. She becomes just jerky and unwilling to rev. But.......as with yesterday.....after doing that for 10 mins. A 5 min rest and then start again, she's back to normal! No codes or warning lights present. I've chased the usual suspects and replaced..... MAF sensor. Brake pedal sensor. Clutch pedal sensor. Full ECU reset. Upstream o2 sensors. Throttle body clean. Spark plugs. We do have a spanner on but that is for the electric heat pump that would usually operate after shut off. Has anyone please got any other ideas? I want to love her but at the minute can't trust her for any journeys at all really. Thanks all in advance.
