Information I have received from Andy Graham is that the last UK build 420 Sport Final Edition came off the production line on 29th October 2021. This was in Pearl Yellow, black matt delete (except the rear transom panel and headlights) with exterior accents including the carbon roof. This was the 5th from last 420, the remaining 4 being exported to UAE and New Zealand. There were only 34 UK 420s.
Thanks for that info. Only 34 UK 420's, and only one in Plum Crazy 😎

As stickers got removed when they applied PPF, I had custom ordered new ones. I didn't like color mess on these side stickers, there was white, black and red on a yellow/black car. Dan from Divine Handcraft did an amazing job. Applying them was a bit of PITA due to small parts, but in the end it worked out. He also made rear SPORT text in black, to replace red one, but I haven't gotten to that part yet. If anyone wants them, feel free to message Dan. It should be cheaper for others as design is done now
I did a similar thing 😉

I had a Superformance GT40 with 6.0 lt V8, throttle body injection, and minimal silencing, prior to my FE 420.
Even with the exhaust bypass switch in operation (which it is all the time), I don't find the 420 too loud in comparison 🤣

I’ve actually been very impressed with the CUP2 tyres.
Plenty of grip on the road, and really good with low wear rates on track.
Obviously cold and wet conditions aren’t their strength, but they still felt ok driving to work in near freezing conditions. Unless I had a separate set of winter wheels, I don’t think I’d want to swap the CUP2’s for anything else.
Same here, very happy with the Cup 2's. I am running my 420 FE through the winter on dryish days, but inevitably in a rural area where I am some of the roads are greasy pretty much all the time.
Exercise had to be cautioned with the right foot, but then I grew up in the late 60's on RWD cars with crap cross plies on, so nothing really new for me with a potentially tail happy car, takes me back to my youth 😁.
When spring/summer/autumn comes back around, the Cup 2's will be awesome - just beware of standing water!

Who gives a s**t about influencers, apart from the muppets at Lotus? In itself the Exige is a fabulous car, but as a package - with 3rd rate dealer support, useless Lotus support, below 1980s skoda build quality, I'm afraid it's not so good. Much as I've enjoyed mine, it's probably going to be sold in the spring. Too many issues.
Really? That's a shame. In balance, my 420 FE has had zero issues, and I love it 👍

Slightly off topic but mine have started to corrode slightly and would like to replace them. Anybody know where I can get them?
The brackets, or the bolts?
If the brackets, well I would have thought Lotus (or get yours refinished).
If the bolts, you just need to work out the length and thread type (M6, or whatever), and replacements are available from any good fastener supplier.

I like the gold one, but would have specced it with black pack delete, and with black wheels 😎

420 in Championship Gold:

430 in Airforce Blue

What do you think? I really like both ones and I'm also kinda sad that I didn't know more about Lotus colors before specing mine from configurator. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy with my choice, but there is so much more thereWhat are you saying, that I have shamelessly self promoted mine? 😧
Ah yes, probably guilty as charged 🤣

That's a shame, hope it gets resolved soon! 🙁

Well done Matt!
210 miles in, I have had endless reactions, probably because I persist in driving it slowly through high street shopping areas with the exhaust valve open 😁 😁
You can take the boy out of Essex, etc.......😉

Exhause valve wiring loom was already in mine, easy job to fit the switch. The ECU recognises it, and yes the digi dash displays exhaust valve open or closed too.
Perfect!

That purple @David Standingis beuatiful, the yellow details really set it off nice. Lovely car that.
Thank you. I'm also going to swop out the Sport decals for yellow ones, plus add yellow union jack wing endplates.

Can do, but won't be able to do so until it arrives at the dealer.

That's a proper Exige colour. Exiges suit loud and proud, slightly wild, attention grabbing colours I think. Looks way better than I'd imagined.
Thanks. Deleting the black pack suits it too I think. If you are going Crazy, go for maximum Plum! 😁
It comes up a bit paler in that artificial light, it's slightly darker in natural light, the last image - of the rear - is closer to the real Plum Crazy.
