  1. when your operate the air-con, press the air-con button and then put the temperature control to cold and fan on high speed. If the car is ticking over you should see the rev counter pointer move slightly when you switch the A/C on or off. You can check if the expansion vale is not working by removing the front RHS arch liner and mud flap and you have the two air con alloy pipes with valves and black caps fitted where the regas is charged, when the car is running and A/C is on if you touch the thinner pipe it should be cooler then the thicker pipe which will be hot. If the garage that fitted your condenser are any good they should have replaced the filter/drier and the expansion valve at the same time. Also if they have filled the system with to much or less gas it would affect the operation. They should have used R134A gas and 0.645 grams of gas.
  2. It should work when you use the sport button if the exhaust valve is piped up from the valve that operates the the air filter housing flap.
  3. I have added an extra in case this happens to me. Fitted a string on the latch and on a ring and taped down and you can access the ring with a hook to pull when boot lid stuck.

  6. You could be right in your findings, as I got the info from a Lotus forum giving OEM parts cross reference numbers and I have not used them.

  10. Found this info -Indicator intermittent fault-March 2020. The PCB board in the head light solder joints on the power connector had broken and just needed re-soldering and the unit re-sealing.

  14. I would of used the valve that operates the Air filter box flap with a tee pipe connection and run a pie to the exhaust valve, so when you operate the sports mode the air box flap and the exhaust valve would operate at the same time.
  15. Rambo, I have been enjoying it when the roads are salt free. I done the geo and tracking myself at my mates garage at Penrith for a few beer tokens because they have the equipment but don't normally do geo set ups. I have done several Lotus cars but the Evora is a lot more difficult compared to the others. I only done mine as I had done a suspension strip down refresh but unless your tracking personally I would just get the tracking done and the geo checked. It was bad enough setting up the rear tracking with bad access to the Spitfire toe links. Does Craig Moncrief the Lotus specialist nr Edinburgh do geo ? as he has a good customer following.
  16. Gave the Evora another treat this week, its got a heated garage now a cover to keep the dust off during the winter months.
  17. It was up for sale for 26k I like the colour but is basic and no packs or toys, thats why it took along time to sell.

  19. If your cars have been parked up and not been started during the winter storage the modern petrol life span is only several months before it losses its energy. So fuel in the fuel lines will be worse than the tank fuel hence when you first start up after been in hibernation could cause bad starting and bad running and several error codes. Its like trying to start your Lawn mower for the first time with old stale fuel from the previous year.

I would ask the seller for more photos of the interior, suspension, close up body work etc. I can advise any Lotus of that age will need a suspension refresh with new hardware, flexi brake pipes, handbrake cables, ARB bushes and a paint refresh. But its all not an urgent concern. You could pay 35-45k for a younger one and it could do with the same maintenance. There is no clutch issues as the same on any other car as some drives will break a tank, like most high powered cars some drives try to push there cars well over the maximum capabilities. The clutch is not to expensive its the labour involved replacing it unless your capable to do it yourself. If the sale includes rear suspension arms well thats a bonus as only a few have required them and saves you buying when required. I got my Evora last year without seeing it and I have gone through with a fine tooth combe, its what I have done on all my previous Lotus cars as I am very fussy and like things perfect and which is very satisfying when complete. There was a tidy Evora same age/mileage as the one your looking at sold a few weeks ago for 35K and it did not have any suspension refresh carried out.
  23. Gave the car a full tracking and Geo check over after the suspension refurbishment.
  24. It seems to be a genuine well maintained car and should sell quickly at that price.
