Imagine what the Uk covid death toll would be if we hadn’t had the lockdowns?

    Unthinkable.

The same but with less suicide and cancer fatalities?

Very sorry to hear of your loss.

Do you know how he caught it then?

Despite what many may think of me Im not a Covid denier. I am a skeptic of the lock downs.

One of my friends who has it was seriously OCD before this started. Cleans everything all the time many times over. He done the whole social distance and mask thing so how did he get it?

I have a relative who had a brain tumor before Xmas. Hes in the Royal London and has been waiting for brain surgery. Due to his high blood pressure they have to wait. Hes very unwell. He cant talk, eat or walk but can understand. He was being tested twice weekly and has now tested positive for it. Despite being extremely weak he has no ill effects of the Covid. Its very likely he may die during surgery. In which case he will be classed as a Covid death. Despite the Covid not being an issue to him.

So if a person cant be kept safe from Covid in a top London hospital I dont see anyone having a chance of not catching it in wider society.

Luckily even Handcock has realised the fact that the ONS reporting the number of people who have died of covid-19 (have tested positive and died within 28 days of testing positive) has to be wrong.

@Kimbers I know as a Special you must be frightened but the police should be on the side of the people. Their actions at present I feel are very close to be taking our country in a very dangerous direction. There are many cases the police have been overstepping their jurisdiction. Luckily these police men and women are being brought to bear for their crimes.

You would be shocked by how many people are breaking the rules constantly. Walking with 2 other people from outside their household,

Every time I see groups of old ladies or friends walking around together my heart is lifted a little and inside I give them a salute or a thumbs up.

Ive written to my MP 4 times telling her I do not consent nor do I appreciate these lock downs and I will not be voting Tory next election. Shes been pretty apologetic about it...luckily it turns out her husband shares the same views as I do on the subject! Actually seems a fairly decent part of Boris's MPs do too and have been telling him to end them.

I see the movement of mass opening restaurants and pubs on the 31st January seems to be gaining pace. I do hope so but we will see.

I'm sure glad my surgeon wore a mask for my open heart surgery  (his mask protects me) You'd be surprised how far sneeze droplets go without one.

Thats assuming you believe the idea a virus is spread by water droplets from a persons breath. An unproven idea that many scientists do not subscribe to.

As to your surgeon wearing a mask during theater Im sure it makes the patient feel safer but in reality even surgeons are not sure if they are worn for their own protection or that of the patient.

"the extracted data revealed no statistically significant association between mask usage and the incidence of surgical site infection" - Royal Society of Medicine

  7. A relative of mine has been in hospital London after a brain clot in intensive care for a couple of weeks while they wait to operate...hes now got Covid. So where did he catch that then?

The strain people seem to catch in hospital seems to spell the end for them.

I see people blaming each other for not sticking to the rules but in general I see people do seem to be sticking to the rules in the main.

I was convinced from the beginning social distancing doesn't work and as for masks you might as well wear those on your arse. 40 years of research on the subject say they dont work but 4 weeks of research in march claimed they do.

At what point will people accept its not the people its the lock downs that dont work.

  8. I dont think so. A few of my customers have had people had it. Well I say had it maybe I should say tested positive. And a few students at my wife work had it.

    Have you?

It's not a guarantee but, it at least halves the chance of contracting it,

Ive not heard that before. The gov.uk website says-

"We do not yet know whether it will stop you from catching and passing on the virus, but we do expect it to reduce this risk. So, it is still important to follow the guidance in your local area to protect those around you.

To protect yourself and your family, friends and colleagues you still need to:

    practice social distancing

    wear a face mask

wash your hands carefully and frequently

    follow the current guidance"

I dont see the point of it myself.

I think in Hellesdon they had a lot of vaccine spare as many of my FB friend from school my age (under 50) had it.
