At a high rate, everything looks like a homemade video. You can adjust that in the tv settings. Turn off the true motion or alike setting. You want to get down to 24fps ideally,

Thanks for that! Ill deffo give that a go.

  2. Wow! I bought a 42" HD TV for my childrens play room but in really HD everything looks kinda weird! Like its all on a set.I know it is but it sort of spoils the experience a bit. Was watching Empire strikes back with my boy and it really feels like your watching a bad episode of Neighbors? My older 50" plasma seem much more enjoyable to watch.

Strange as Ive been thinking about buying a new TV and was thinking about some UHD OLED but now not so sure.

  3. Looking good! Very nice looking spot you have there!

Sadly when you get outside of London - the ground is sometimes not level and you just have to go with the flow.

The times are reporting this morning that the EU commission are positioning to take control of vaccine production factories

Given Ursulas track record if they were to take over control of production that would probably see a huge drop off in production volumes by one mismanagement or another. Wasn't she the woman in charge of German military procurement who saw German soldiers going on NATO exercises with painted broom handles as they had no riffles? :hrhr:

This thread and the Brexit thread are becoming so close. I wonder how many people have changed their thoughts on remaining/ leaving during this time after seeing the EUs behavior? Maybe a question for the Brexit thread.

  5. At the last big bash at Hethel I mentioned to a powertrain manager us chaps were hoping for the new engine to come from the Volvo Polestar. He did look rather surprised and said everything they were working on was electric/hybrid. That was 3 years ago now though so I guess things have moved away from electric due to the environmental issues.

Asymptomatic spread is a major cause of transmission.

According to some but by no means all.

Many doctors dont agree with the idea of asymptomatic carriers and say people could test positive for flu but if they aren't showing signs would never be considered to have flu.

The British Medical Journal have revised their figure of infections from asymptomatic transitions from 80% down to between 17-20%.

A recent huge study in China found

"A study late November in China of 10 million PCR test "Titled Post-lockdown SARS-CoV-2 nucleic acid screening in nearly 10 million residents of Wuhan, China, the study thoroughly debunked the concept of asymptomatic transmission.

Out of the nearly 10 million people in the study, results revealed “300 asymptomatic cases” were found. Utilizing contact tracing, of those 300, not a single case of COVID-19 were detected in any of them.

“A total of 1,174 close contacts of the asymptomatic positive cases were traced, and they all tested negative for the COVID-19,” the study concluded.

Both the asymptomatic patients and their contacts were placed in isolation for a period of no less than two weeks and the results remained the same. “None of detected positive cases or their close contacts became symptomatic or newly confirmed with COVID-19 during the isolation period,” the study found."

Well - my eldest Daisy has tested positive again. Even though she has antibodies - has had her first jab - and is showing no symptoms. That was a test from yesterday - she has another routine flow test again today.

Seems the majority of Scientist and doctors are saying if you have no symptoms you aint got it no matter if you test positive...its just not the scientists and doctors the Gov are listening to.

Ahh - reminds me of the good old days in the Student Union - and people used to say Computing Degrees were boring.

When I was in the army we had to have a blood sample and urine sample to be tested. We were all sitting in the bar with our little jars of blood and wee while we were waited to be called. After a couple of pints each we were called through one by one...trouble was by this point no one remembered who's  was who's so we just had to pick of of each and hope we would be ok! :stuart:
