  1. I believe its bad practice to mix cross climate tyres with summer tyres. 🙂
  2. The dash can be green or white, one was an option but I don't know which one it was. 🙂
  3. Welcome to the forums. I don't know either car so can't help with details. The car for sale at Stocks will be properly described and the seller is well regarded in the world of Lotus. He does frequent the forums, so will likely be happy to provide any info you require. @lotuseaters The other car looks like it's for sale with a non specialist dealer, whom may or may not have specific Lotus knowledge. 🙂
  4. Indeed. I have a letter at zero cost, from Lotus detailing my car before they did the certificates so I have the data. I would have liked just a certificate as its a nice thing to frame and display but never had the funds to get it sorted. I can see that boat sailing away 🙂
  5. I don't think I'd want all the extras especially for such a high price. I'd be happy with just the certificate. 🙂
  6. Years of study and a good helping of skill I don't doubt. 🙂
  7. Did you let Sparky sit in it? I bet his lock-down girth has pressed the seat sides out a little? 🙂
  8. I can't believe that it's got an original interior, surely its been reupholstered? 🙂

    Age & Time

Agree with what Stephen said. Time goes more slowly when you are learning something new as you have to concentrate on it. When you are young, everything is new, so time appears to stand still. Learn something new, it will make your life feel as if its moving more slowly and you'll have the satisfaction that goes with it. 🙂
  10. @Sparky - Yes it does - it's mounted on the passenger side inner door hinge mounting plate. 🙂
  11. you might feel a bit of a dick 🙂
  12. You'd better move house. I don't think I could just look at it after all that hard work! 🙂
  13. calling @Sparky who may be able to help? 🙂
  14. I've used Shiply a couple of times to move older cars and both times everything was fine. However, for a valuable car like yours, I would consider using a specialist recovery company, it'll be more expensive but you get what you pay for. If for whatever reason, something untoward happens, you'll probably spend less time fighting in court for compensation. 🙂
  15. yeah, you need a rectifier circuit to allow the polarity to be reversed. The actual led light will only work with the correct polarity but it's managed by the rectifier. 🙂
  16. did you notice that they are positive earth fitting? You'll need to reverse the wiring to the lamp holder. 🙂
  17. It's been quite a while since I removed the body on my car and I rather stupidly didn't record the spacers used at the body mounting points. I have to say however that they were a variety of sizes and upwards of 5 mm at a guess in places. I would assume when refitting the body, you'd need to align 5 through 8 first and then space out the others to fit the body position. I believe the body was drilled in place for 5 through 8 in the factory (if my recollection is right)
  18. Try wiggling the steering wheel whilst trying to put the key in. If you have some spray grease, you could try a squirt into the barrel. 🙂
  19. what size are they in comparison to the lengths originally offered by Lotus? Great news if these are a commercial reality. Well done 🙂
  20. My Boxer has just had a cancerous lump removed from her hind leg. It's the second time its grown back. I'm hopeful it's the last time she has to go through this. 🙂
  21. there's no such thing as too many pictures 🙂
  22. Looks just like mine. Excellent impulse buy. 🙂
