I've read through this as well. If the pulley and the coil clutch plate are both turning whether the AC is in the on or off position, you have a seized clutch on the compressor. Depending on how long you have not had cold air from the vents may give you an idea how long the compressor has been running without lubrication. I think it is safe to assume that it would be anytime you had the engine running since you noticed it. I'll let you add how much longer the issue may have been there before you noticed it. A good AC joint has to pull a vacuum on the system to regas it. If the seals are stuffed on the compressor shaft, the vacuum operation will most likely fail. And yes, 3.3k GBP for a compressor is ridiculous. Even fitted, it's ridiculous. Find a good AC company and go there. A compressor here in Aus is about $500 max, so about 250 GBP, the fully electric ones are only asking about $1,200 AUD, so about 600GBP. Add fitting, leak testing and regaling and you can't get near 3.3k GBP.

Can't imagine how long it would have taken for you to find a gap in the traffic so you could pull back onto the road? I bet no-one would let you in?

Oooo. That's going to leave a mark. π

I would suggest that companies have lost so much revenue over the last 2 years that they would now be looking for any loophole to get out of repaying money to customers. They lose a little bit more money by processing a refund as well in wages to the people involved. Even though lots of companies in the world said that they were to help customers, that might have been the case during that time, but costs were inevitably going to go up after things start getting back to normal. (and we are still a way off that, I would suggest) -

I must admit to not understanding some reasons for things not being available. I have had some, what I thought were very simple, door switches to prevent entry Ito a machine and they have been pending for about 4 months. Apparently these switches come with a chip in them as they are programmable. Massive delay on chips. Who knew? So it may not be the upholsterers, or the manufacturers. It could be from the correct dye not being available. Ultimately, it ends up turning into a delay, which is just a bummer.

I can't help but think that if all the car manufacturers go their own way with battery cells, you can say goodbye to the 'one out/one in' battery swap. Just won't be feasible. Impossible if the batteries are part of the structural build of the car. Welcome to the Chinese way of doing things. And not just the Chinese. Design it so that it needs to be discarded and completely replaced..

Iβd say fluid leak. You can see something being left on the track at 6:27.

Has it seriously been 1 year since the Emira was debuted? Bloody hell, time flies.

I think my heart just skipped a beat. What colour is that? It looks like white a bit, but then from the other angle it looks like a matt silver. Very drooly.
