  1. I'll check mine in the morning.
  2. It's like watching the shows where they show how underarm deodorants are weighed against each other. Whole heap of people lined up smelling subject armpits.
  3. I'm going to add my bit in here as well. Can people please refrain from quoting the post directly above their reply. It makes topics very untidy and takes a hell of a lot of editing by the Moderators to keep removing quotes that are not required. We just want the site to be easy to read and navigate on. This does not only apply to new users. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
  4. I am getting the same issue with many posts in Safari on a MAC running OSX 10.15.7
  5. Welcome to TLF @Vrin. You should duck over to the Introductions area and say hi in there as well. Any questions or issues using the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help. @Miguel Maybe try another group buy effort again?
  6. Welcome to TLF @slotdawg Matt. Any colour idea as yet? You should duck over to the Introductions area and say hi in there as well. Any questions or issues using the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help.
  7. Welcome to TLF Richard. You should duck over to the Introductions area and say hi in there as well. Any questions or issues with using the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help.
  8. I'll start writing one out. I'm a bit concerned that some sniffer program in the web world will sniff out my post above and I'll have SAS bursting through the front door.
  9. Welcome to TLF. V6 or I4? You should duck over to the Introductions area and say hi in there as well. Any questions or issues with using the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help.
  10. Bloody computer auto-correcting and me not paying enough attention before posting. haji = hi suing = using Trust you Sparky.
  11. I was unaware of the angst between the Taliban and ISIS. I believed, in my ignorance, that the deal to be out by end of August was with everyone. Clearly not. Experts here have said that this will be seriously embarrassing to the Taliban as they have tried to impress upon everyone that they are in control. Again. Clearly not.
  12. Welcome to TLF @cashiew86. You should duck over to the Introductions area and say haji in there as well. Post up some photos of your car as well as everyone one here likes photos. Any questions or issues with suing the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help.
  13. Welcome to TLF Alex. I missed saying hi when you joined up. Isn't it a bummer when you have to wait and you have no choice? You should duck over to the Introductions area and say hi in there as well. Any questions or issues with using the form, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help.
  14. I can't really see the pitting in the photo. What would happen if you got the pitting TIG welded then shape the welding back to shape and then go through reanodising? It may be a hell of a lot of work though? I am not sure of the amount of pitting, but it could be quite possible that it would not be cost efficient either. I suppose it all depends on the availability of spares when restoring. As anodising coats the material, what about preparing and then filling all the pitting with a product like Devcon? A difference in the surface where filled should not matter. Not difficult to use like a filler and then finish to shape and then reanodise.
  15. Welcome to TLF Allen. I moved your post into the Giugiaro section. Hopefully @Tony K will see this and reply. He is pretty clued up on S1's. You should duck over to the Introductions area and say hi in there as well. Any questions or issues with using the forums, feel free to ask one of us mods. We're here to help.

    Lotus Emira

I just went to the Porsche configurator and got confused. Start at the top and select this option. Go down a few options and then select a certain type of seat. Changes the interior or something else. I got fed up with it as I started to not remember what I had selected and figured I was going to have set up a car that compromises your original choices. I am still not really sure why if you choose a certain type of seat, it demands that you change your interior option? In the end, I just quit. Way too many options. And the price mounted up quickly.
  17. Well two ISIS car bombers have just driven two car bombs into the area earlier than the end of August that they apparently agreed to. They have killed 60 including 12 US troops.
  18. I figured that is what they would do. Just didn't put it into words that well.
  19. So the article says US troops by 11th September. Hmm. That's 911 again. Weird. So where did the date of the end of August come from?
  20. Absolutely. They are going to run out of time though and what happens after that?
  21. I am now going away. I shall add no more as Atwell knows WAY more about this than me.
  22. Those robots are incredible. I never realised that they had become that advanced. The CofG for the two wheel robots is so high from the ground and yet there stability is incredible. And somersaults? I was waiting for the robot that the guy kept poking with a long stick to turn around and go postal on him. Other than that, the Jetsons cartoon is/was a look into the future.
  23. Also check the depth that the belt is sitting in the grooves of the pulleys. The belt top surface should be just above the pulley groove walls. If the belt sits so deep that the inner diameter of the belt is running on the bottom surface of the groove, you won't be able to tension it enough. The other thing is that a slipping belt 'polishes' the groove walls which in turn can affect the friction between the belt and the groove. I have seen pulleys polished to a very smooth shine. No new pulley comes polished. There are also many spray products that assist with belt grip. Not the best answer, but definitely a help.
  24. I'd be saying definitely enough torque to bend a valve. However, if you did have a bent valve, I expect you would see one or more of the cam followers and shims sets going quite loose as you rotate the engine. Easy to check each time a valve is in its closed position. Compression test will yield better results though.
  25. I wonder how long the demonstrators are to be at each dealer or is it going to be based on potential buyers getting there on a set day?
