This new Lotus Evora reminds me the Venturi 400GT.

if you are right, the car could not be a limited edition. It would cost too much to Lotus to make a special car. On other hand that allows Lotus to sell a car at high price. If it deserves it ...

Better pic ... The carbon quality is awesome, but the stone projections should fast damage it.

Evora 460 with the engine and the sequential gearobox of the 3.11, track use only ? What else ?
  6. @Alfo86 : @DJW is right, I'm totally agree with him. I drove the Manual Exige V6S, The Auto Exige V6S, It's a shame but the last one is far better to driver on road, not on the track because it doesn't manage very well big difference rev engine. As you can see : I drove Evore S IPS, and Evora 400 IPS, the second one is better than the first one, better than a regular Ferrari F430, but same issue than the Exige, Don't go on the track with this kind of gearbox but on the road, the IPS is far better than a Manual Gearbox. And, It's very, very reliable !! One of my friend owns a Evora S IPS with 60.000km and other an Evora 280cv IPS with 80.000km. Zero Issue ! So, who says that the IPS is horrible ? Last year, I talked to a Lotus Customer who owned a Evora S IPS and now He drove a Manual Evora 400. He regrets the IPS. If you can and if your dealer is agree, try to exchange you car with an Auto 400. I forget, ZERO NOISE with the IPS.
  7. Agree with that, no noise with the Auto Gearbox, and sure that the best solution is to exchange your car for a second hand auto. You'll never resolve the issue, sad but true
  8. @Alfo86 Don't believe you're alone. Every time, the dealer must fixes issue by himself. Many year ago, my dealer did that on my car by, helped by others Lotus owners. In France, the Neubauer group (Ferrari & Lamborghini & Maserati & Rolls & Peugeot Paris) has sold the Lotus cars before firing them. Same thing for Ferrari Cannes many years ago. These dealers belong to large financial groups who have no sense of humor A Lotus dealership must be more passionate than its customers to sell the cars of the Lotus brand Some "good friends" reported to me that some dealers doesn't want to sell the Evora 400 anymore. Too many issues, the car isn't reliable and too expensive for the quality offer. The car is a (bad) joke
  9. @Alfo86 To be fair, you're not alone. One of my friend owns an Evora 400. The car is a nightmare No issue with the IPS Gearbox but for the rest, he's got all you're talking and many others; battery issue, fuel trap issue, opening trunk issue, windows issue (air noise), HIFI sound system crappy, A/C issue, etc ... The car spend a lot of time to the dealer. Before owning the 400, he owned a Evora IPS MY2013, the "Upgrade one". Since year 2013, Zero issue, may be some minors issues, that's all, nothing that you can fix easily, a very pleasant car Now, he's thinking selling the 400 for the new Aston Martin Vantage with the Mercedes engine, sad. May be JM Galles is a cost killer but also surely a quality killer
  10. Thanks to the news ! I think that Lotus will send back your car to Hethel ! I'm not sure that they allow your dealer to solve something. My next car should be a Lamborghini Huracan, more reliable, more beautiful, more powerful and a lot of more expensive ! I love it every time I drive it
  11. Normally, it should be this scheme : The Horspower / Torque Curve below was generated by the ProfessCars™ software, based on the factory data:
  12. In fact, for this case, Lotus factory should send someone to check the issue. You have nothing to do, it's up to your dealer to manage the issue nonetheless your car could be sent back to the factory. To be fair, it's the right thing to do.
  13. I found this. The torsen uses a lot of gearing. It's could be noisy.
  14. @DJW : My dealer has done that, he changed the gearbox oil. A special oil for a racing Exige Bemani ! We thought it would be better but nothing changed

It's seem to be the titanium sports exhaust. Isn't it ?
  17. Yes, it's looks like a gearwheel, totally agree, but it's not. And yes it doesn't happen when the car is cold ! What we thought with my dealer is that cables dilate. And yes, you have this noise at low revs One of my friend had the same issue on the same Elise R as mine. Our dealers had looking together how fix the issue. Firstly, they tightened the cable, but the noise came back every time. After that, they isolated as they could the cable. I've done many tests for them and we fixed it. Meanwhile, Factory came to listen the noise and for them everyting was fine, bullshit. With my friend our Elise R didn't included Luxury Pack but the Pack Sport. So, zero phonic insulation. I recently drove the Evora 400, very nice car but I heard the same noise as i known on my Elise as you explained. One year ago, I drove an Exige V6, same thing. But, interesting fact, if you drive an Elise Rover, you have no noise. We think that the noise come from the Toyota mechanic Transmission regardless the model. It's a shame, the Evora 400 is wonderful car to drive and trust me, i regularly drive McLaren, Ferrari, Lamborghini cars and they are not so funny except the 570S, a sex crime . I could buy a 400 but no, Lotus makes no effort to increase his quality level, too many issues for a 100k€ car. Sad but true. To be fair, i think that the good car is the 410, no AC, no (crappy) Hifi, less weight, carbon seat (no squealing seat), sure more transmission noise but less issues because simple car.
  18. I've read all this post. To be fair, I've drove the EVORA 400, I've drove the Exige V6, I owned a Lotus Elise R and all have this noise. It's could be due to the gearbox cable and the parking brake cable. At 3000 rmp, on my Elise, I release the accelerator pedal and the noise comes, like you after some kilometers. To fix the issue on my Elise R, the dealer put a plastic foam to isolate all the cable from the chassis. Wherever he found a cable, he put a plastic foam. It was very funny, by summer when the car was very hot, it smelled the burning plastic, lol, nonetheless the noises have disappeared, not all but almost. And trust me, the 410 will do the same noise and Lotus will does not care anymore of it. If you drive an EVORA IPS, there is no noise.
