  1. It can be done by laser cladding. With this technology the heat input is only 10% of conventionel welding. Hence no cracks. The crank is steel forged. Not casted. What kind of welding have you been offered?
  2. Hi Laika Can I ask if you remember the inner diameter of the rear lower link bush? I have bought the LOTAC poly bushes as yours. But they dont fit! (Or fit too easily!) The inner diameter of my rear link is 35mm, whereas the bush is just a bit more than 32mm? The upper is a different story, as the apparently are some aftermarket links. Lars
  3. Hi Jon Which kind of silencer did you use? Lars
  4. Hi Ben I am interested in a complete system for a G car. With 3" rear system. Can you make this with a 3" V-band connection to turbo? Is there an O2 sensor bung at the TC exit pipe? Lars
  5. Hi Jacques & Barry I do recon the Alunox exhaust as a master piece. And not just looking good. My 84 engine has forged pistons, CAC, efi and a new GTX3071R turbo. Further the gearbox has been on a tour via Harry Martens. I havent runned this setup witn the cast iron manifold, but do not think that this is a bad manifold. But kind of figure that the existing exhaust is a limiting factor. At least the rear part. Here I want to go for a 3". I saw the video of that V8 turbo testing exhaust dimensions, but believe that this test was more in a quest for most output. Though I did notice that the torque were also elevated. Naturally I am going for more output as well, but wont trade in for low end torque and drivability. So glad to hear that your do not experience this with the alunox setup. Can be due to better tuned equal length runners 4-2, less sharp bends and smoother inner surface. Thanks for your input. Lars
  6. Sorry for my previous cryptic reply! What is was trying to say is, that a smaller diameter runner should result in better response, earlier spool up. Rather than a manifold with larger diameter. But if the general experience with this setup is vise versa; thats just great.
  7. Response was actually one of my Concerns, but rather thy the boost would come in earlier due to larger diameter primaries. But do reads your reply as a quicker spool up time?
  8. Hi Jon May I ask why you made the change to the Alunox system. I guess it is with 2.5" rear system? Did you install this on a standard engine configuration? Did this exhaust system change the engine drivability; do you experience any performance gain? Thanks, Lars
  9. I could use a complete carpet set for the boot, for my US 84. including the durrounding for the firewall window. Lars
  10. Pan Did you followed this further? Lars
  11. Citric acid is slow in use, but safe. though it needs some temperature for reaction.
  12. How did you set the right angel for the ball joint in relation to the lower arm?
  13. Difficult to see at the picture. But is there enough meet in the ball jount so that it would be posible to drill through and insert a locking pin, instead of welding?
  14. Might be better of calibrating your Torque wrench, than using 3 different ones. all depending ob brand, they can be quite delicate in use.
  15. What Jon mention regards a lean mixture might a point check. I installed a lambda sensor and found that I consistently is running lean under boost. it is happening about 3500-3700 rpm. Havent solved it yet, thoug being going thrue the carbs numeral times. gave up and purchased EFI throttle bodies!

    Front bumper S3

Hi In need for a fiber glass front bumper for an S3/Turbo Esprit. Does anyone have one to spare, or know where to source one? Lars
  20. Dont forget, or underestimate, the significans of the turbos higher torque.
  21. Hi Steve I havent seen your reply to this here above. Actually just pm'ed you with another photo of the seats. But now seeing that you already ansered my question here. So the left one is a US seat. Though wonder why the passenger seat would be an euro style? Do anyone in here have a euro seat in surplus? Thanks Lars
  22. It is a US. but the thing is that it is only one of the seats?
  23. I am having the interior for my 84 TE refurbished. When the upholster began working on the seats, he noticed that the passenger seat (LHD car) was a bit more narrow at the side bolster than the drivers seat. Looks like the foam has been trimmed. During removal I didnt noticed a difference, but looking at a picture, the drivers seat looks a bit darker in colour. I hace checked the seats in my 82 TE (UK model) They are both having the wider bolster. I belive that both seats should have the wide bolster. But can anyone in here shed a light on this question?
