  4. I have cherished this car since purchasing 21 years ago in 1999 with 22,900 miles. I am its 3rd owner and it has wanted for nothing and was used regularly but sympathetically. It has never been around a race track (other than having the honour of being the 2nd car in the ‘Esprit Parade Lap’ around Silverstone in 2016 commemorating 40 years of Esprit production). It has always been garaged and driven in a caring manner, I have been nowhere near the cars true capabilities. It is displayed very regularly at car shows and is much admired. Whilst it is not 100% factory original, it can be taken back to factory spec. easily if required. The few changes made have been to either enhance the looks or performance and reliability of the vehicle and all are acceptable and recognised changes within the Lotus Esprit community. It is fitted with the S4 rear wing (with additional lift strut), Turbo SE front bumper, spots and air dam, the highly respected Ramsbottom & Brandt German engineered shock absorber, spring and bush upgrade which is easy to adjust for ride height & rebound. Goodrich braided brake hoses with upgraded brakes. Clear front indicator conversion, white side repeaters. Black & gold Lotus badges to nose and wheels As I am not using the car enough to warrant being its custodian, I have completed significant work in readiness to pass it on to another true Lotus Esprit enthusiast. It will only be sold to a true Lotus enthusiast, no tyre kickers, dreamers, time wasters, test pilots or canvassers. If you cannot prove insurance you will not drive it, but I am more than happy to take genuine enquirers for a drive. Stunning colour combination of white and black exterior consisting of ‘Monaco White’ body, black gloss roof and wheels with immaculate interior of ‘Dark Raven’ leather seats, dash & door panels, unworn grey carpet and grey alcantara trim. As confirmed by the Lotus archivist and Heritage certificate, this Esprit was 8th of 22 Normally Aspirated (NA) Esprit built in 1990 making it the 14th from last 2.2 non turbo Esprit built and 3rd from last in white, no. 274 of 288 built in total between 1988 – 90. The normally aspirated (NA) Esprit is fitted with the aluminium ‘912’ 2174cc 16 valve DOHC engine mated with twin Dellorto DHLA45D side draught carburettors coupled to a 5 speed gearbox. It is a basic but strong engine with no electronic gadgetry or injection and propels the light Esprit more than adequately. Whilst it is not the fastest version of the Esprit, it has more than sufficient performance, is very reliable and unstressed; and still has the stunning looks and that renowned Lotus handling. The Esprit is a surprisingly useable car with both front & rear storage areas and a very comfortable driving position. Lotus quoted performance figures for the less stressed non turbo Esprit as 172bhp, 0-60 mph in 6.5 seconds and going on to reach over 140mph which is more than capable for today’s roads, whilst returning up to nearly 40mpg (I regularly achieve 30-35mpg) My Esprit is fitted with the better breathing stainless steel full ‘Semi-Sports’ exhaust system and manifold and the K&N air filter, has achieved a documented 178.1bhp when rolling road tuned, the engine had approx. 41000 miles, now reading 49885 Miles. Always serviced at Lotus or performance car specialist garages. July 2020 recent works by ‘BTEC Racing’ include, but not limited to: Cambelt & the major ‘C’ service inc Mobil 1 synthetic engine & gearbox oil, performance plugs, performance leads, performance coil, K&N filter cleaned & re-oiled. Rebuilt carbs using genuine Dellorto parts New distributor 4 wheel alignment & tracking SJ Sportscars refurbished brake callipers, fitted with new EBC greenstuff pads, new ‘Lotus’ rear discs, Automec dot 5 purple Silicon brake fluid. Also has EBC vented drilled and grooved discs to front. Rolling road tune up, set to provide a better acceleration curve at the midway point New directional Toyo tyres March 2020, have only travelled to specialist garage & back MOT 4/11/19 49871 miles. No advisories. Known faults: Electric aerial not working Very small crack to rear bumper (Replacement inc in sale) Very shallow wiper arm scratch to windscreen (new Lotus supplied replacement windscreen included in sale) For full asking price, the sale will include: Private registration C18TUS approx. value £2000 Leather bound portfolio containing the cars complete history with all receipts, tax discs & MOT certs. 2 original Lotus keys and immobiliser transponders with Lotus keyrings 2 sets of Esprit wheels & tyres consisting of: Esprit Turbo wheels Silver 7J x 15 front & 8.5J x 16 rear in factory silver. Fitted with low profile directional Toyo Proxes T1R Front 215 45 15 with 3/4 of tread depth remaining. Rear 245 45 16 with 1/4 of tread depth remaining. In my opinion this combination of tyre doesn’t look right or suit this model of Esprit and gives too harder ride. Winter wheels Black with polished rims 7J & 8J x 15 fitted with Falken directional tyres 195 60 15 front with 3/4 of tread depth remaining, rears fitted with 225 60 15 with 2/3 of tread depth remaining. New (unstamped) Owner’s manual which I keep in the car for reference whilst the stamped service copy is kept with my service records, files and receipts for the past 21 years and some before. I also have all the Tax discs ’95-’14, MOT certs since ’94, emissions reports, HPI reports 21 years of Club Lotus magazines in Club Lotus binders and a huge number of magazine articles on the Esprit. Boxed 75cl bottle of Henri Giraud ‘Esprit’ champagne purchased in Reims, France 2016. We toured Europe in the Esprit. Leading wine critic Robert Parker described “Henri Giraud, established in 1625 as the finest Champagne house virtually no one has ever heard of”. The finest champagne I’ve ever had! Other information: Originally the normally aspirated Esprit’s were fitted with the slightly smaller specification Route OZ wheels (see my winter set for details) whereas the later turbos was fitted with slightly wider 7J & 8.5J and deeper rimmed specification Route OZ wheels with Goodyear Eagle tyres, fronts being 215 50 ZR 15 and rears 245 50 ZR 16. These Goodyear Eagle tyres were tested and developed with Lotus to compliment the suspension settings; providing performance, grip, handling and comfort due to the wide girth and deep side wall, whereas modern performance cars rely on the suspension for comfort when fitted with low profile tyres. My vehicle was specified with the wider turbo size wheels & tyres from new. As these Goodyear tyres are now obsolete the only modern equivalent manufacturer that provides similar & matching front and rear tyre sizes (I don’t like to mismatch manufacturers) and worthy of been fitted to a performance vehicle are Toyo. So my Esprit is fitted with brand new directional Toyo Proxes T1R’s . 225 50 15 & 245 55 16 very slight oversize from original specification. As mentioned these are as close as you can get with single tyre manufacturer sizes. The post 1990 Esprit NA & the complete enthusiasts package appeared first on lotusforsale.com. Click to view item

  6. Tentatively advertising my wonderful Evora 400 for sale. I’ve Been using the car as a daily driver since I bought it a year ago. I now have a normal car for daily use so I’d like something a little cheaper and maybe more raw for weekend use. So I’d consider a part ex for virtually any lotus of a lower value.. or of course a straight sale. Some info on the car – it’s a 2016 manual in white with the red alcantara interior. It currently has GRP v2 tail light which I’ll remove and return to standard. The tires were replaced at the end of last year and have around 5k miles on them. It was last serviced with B&C in December 2019 so will be due a service at the end of 2020. The car has mostly been faultless in my ownership except for a few suspension knocks from work bushes. These have all been replaced and it now drives impeccably I’ve recently had the wheels professionally recoated in silver as I got a bit bored of the black wheels and struggling to get a good photo of them! The silver look great The post 2016 Evora 400 appeared first on lotusforsale.com. Click to view item
  7. I have owned my cherished Lotus Esprit S3 since 1988 and have travelled many trouble free miles in her. She has been looked after by Esprit Engineering of Dowton who rebuilt and overhauled the mechanics (my thanks to Geoff and Dave) in 2017. This is a unique opportunity to buy a very rare “black badge”, normally aspirated 1981 Lotus Esprit Series 3. Only 763 of this type were ever made between 1981 and 1987 of which this is 1 of only 4 remaining in this country – www.howmanyleft.co.uk The post 1981 Esprit S3 NA appeared first on lotusforsale.com. SOUND INSULATION, FULL CARPETS, CRUISE CONTROL, AIR CONDITIONING, FLOOR MATS, CRUISE CONTROL, ENGINE COVER, BATTERY CUT OFF SWITCH. Hexagon Lotus London are delighted to offer this brand-new model Elise Sport 220, which presents beautifully in a classic colour combination that provides a nod to the iconic Lotus Esprit amongst other notables. Lotus Cars are one of Britain’s most iconic automotive manufacturers and the Elise is one of the most important models ever produced by the brand. Retaining the elements that have always kept the Elise ahead of rivals, the Elise Sport is built around an extruded and bonded aluminium chassis which is both tremendously strong and torsionally stiff – weighing just 68 kg. The new Elise Sport benefits from a range of improvements, which includes a 10 kg mass reduction thanks to several new components. The 220 Sport is fitted with a 1.8 litre supercharged engine which has been tuned to produce 217bhp and 250Nm of torque. This power output combined with extremely light chassis and body of the Elise enables the car to have a benchmark power-to-weight ratio with class leading efficiency. 0-60mph is taken care of in just 4.2 seconds. Exceptional braking performance is provided thanks to AP Racing twin piston front calipers and Brembo single piston rear calipers. The exposed aluminium gearshift system is a visual feast, and its close sports ratios make spirited driving an absolute pleasure. In 2017 Evo Magazine gave the Elise 220 Sport and its Sprint derivative a five-star rating. This gives great kudos to what is, in essence, a low volume sports car. This car offers a very distinctive Azure blue metallic, which is evocative of some of the most illustrious past models, and the black Alcantara interior provides a smart contrast to the vibrant exterior colour. This is a great opportunity to acquire the very best of British engineering in a package that is immense fun to drive but also incredibly usable daily. Price includes Lotus delivery, PDI, plates, fuel, 1st Service labour, 1st Reg Fee and First Year Road Fund Licence charges. Contact Jonathan Ostroff at Hexagon Lotus London on 0208 348 5151 / 07522 911911 or email to [email protected] Lotus Finance offers including the 50:50 24 months 0% offer are available subject to status. 17. In 2016 Lotus launched the Exige Sport 380. With power pushed up to 375hp, weight cut down by 25kgs and an aero package that creates up to 60% more downforce, the Sport 380 put the Exige range into a class of its own. 0 to 60 is done with in 3.5sec, and around Lotus’s Hethel test circuit, chassis engineer and racing driver Gavan Kershaw can get the 380 around a lap a full 2.5sec faster than the Exige Sport 350. That’s thanks in part to uprated brakes, grooved AP Racing discs borrowed from the 3-Eleven track car (they’re ‘expensive but efficient’, says Lotus), 140kg of downforce at top speed, and a switch to Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres. ‘On a track [we believe] it can leave behind almost anything below £1m,’ says Lotus. You might find a car that is faster on the autobahn, but on a real road, you’d be hard pushed to find anything that can beat it. This low mileage 2017 model is in great condition, having been looked after very well by its 2 previous owners. With nearly every option selected, including the full Carbon Package and rare 2-way adjustable Nitron dampers, this Sport 380 is finished in stunning Metallic Grey with black forged wheels and red calipers. This Exige is a ‘must see’ in the flesh! Full Specification • Exige Sport 380 • Metallic Grey Paintwork • Forged Wheels – Black • Red Calipers • 2-way adjustable Nitron dampers • Full Carbon Fibre Exterior Pack (hardtop and louvered tailgate) • Full Alcantara steering wheel • Silver Interior Pack • Air conditioning • Stereo plus 2 speakers • Sound Insulation • Soft top conversion with 2nd hand soft-top • Freshly serviced and 2 new rear tyres fitted This stunning example is available to view immediately at our showrooms. We aim to provide a professional, relaxed environment in which to consider a new or used car purchase. 18. KOMO-TEC 475 UPGRADE Launched at Goodwood back in 2015, the 3-Eleven was the company’s quickest and most extreme series production car ever. The Lotus 3-Eleven utilised an all-new lightweight composite body, and a bespoke chassis based on the proven Lotus design of extruded and bonded aluminium sections. Add Suspension that is made up of lightweight double wishbones front and rear, with Eibach springs and Ohlins dampers, lightweight 18- and 19-inch forged aluminium wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, and AP Racing four-pot calipers and 332mm discs, you end up with a car that was simply designed to deliver an undiluted driving experience, whether on track or road. Jean-Marc Gales, Lotus’ chief executive officer at the time, said of the 3-Eleven: ‘this car is a giant slayer, capable of embarrassing far more expensive rivals. It condenses our engineering know-how into one, hard-core package, and is so focused that it won’t suit everyone. This is a perfect demonstration of the faster and lighter concept, something which will be crucial to all Lotus cars in the future. This 2 owner, Road Specified car was originally purchased as an investment car back in November 2016. The second owner had the car as a third ‘toy in the garage’ and recently invested in a Komo-Tec 475 package (https://www.komo-tec.com/en/lotus-eleven/3-eleven/power-phases/140/phase-eleven-475-upgrade-60hp/80nm-3-eleven) giving the car just under 470hp, opposed to the standard 410hp. Finished in Matt Black with Phantom Black Stripes, this stunning example balances an impressive level of ‘on road’ characteristics, with blistering grip and acceleration, making this a monstrously quick track and back weapon. Full Factory Specification • 2016 3-Eleven Road Spec • Matt Black with Phantom Black Stripes (Colour Scheme 4) • Komo-Tec Phase-Eleven 475 upgrade (+60hp/+80NM) • Forged Wheels–Black • 4-Point Harnesses • Private Plate included (X3 LVN) • Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres This low mileage example shows no signs of excessive track work and is available to view immediately at our showrooms. 24. I have a limited number of centre wheel caps for the S1 Esprit for sale in sets of 4. They are copied from an original wheel cap and are the correct size and shape, unlike the Datsun ones for sale which are not! They come as a set of 4 with the stick on centre badges included in the price. I thought I’d offer them on here before putting them on eBay. They’re £60/set (which is also cheaper than the non-correct ones from the usual suppliers) plus postage and packing (at cost) to wherever you are in the world. If you want them insured then obviously that will increase the P&P. The post Esprit S1 wheel caps for sale appeared first on lotusforsale.com. Click to view item
