I have all receipts from my time of ownership, servicing has been done F1 at Newcastle then by local specialists. 2. A very late build Esprit Turbo, finished in metallic Steel Blue with a full Mushroom leather interior. In long term ownership and with a huge portfolio of documents including most previous MOT certificates and service invoices back to when the car was new. Very carefully maintained over the years and with the service history stamps now well in to their second book, care has always been undertaken by a main dealer or recognised specialist, as follows… Date not recorded 4989 miles Gordon Lamb Lotus November 1993 10395 miles Gordon Lamb Lotus August 1994 17290 miles JCT Lotus April 1995 19800 miles Christopher Neil October 1995 22891 miles Christopher Neil January 1997 26565 miles Haydon Daytune July 1997 32711 miles Haydon Daytune July 1998 38969 miles Kent Sports Cars June 1999 42436 miles Haydon Cars Ltd June 2000 47712 miles Haydon Cars Ltd October 2001 52822 miles Lakeside Engineering Ltd May 2002 57435 miles Village Garage Aberdeen May 2003 67274 mi8les Murray Motors February 2004 70814 miles Murray Motors January 2005 74405 miles Stratton Motor Company January 2006 77358 miles Stratton Motor Company January 2007 79776 miles Stratton Motor Company February 2008 83458 miles Stratton Motor Company March 2009 85338 miles Lotus Cars Ltd May 2010 87042 miles Lotus Cars Ltd April 2011 87392 miles Lotus Cars Ltd April 2012 87782 miles Lotus Cars Ltd July 2013 88036 miles Lotus Cars Ltd July 2017 88290 miles Lotus Cars Ltd Upon closure of the Lotus Car’s service department, a member of the factory team continued with the servicing although this period is less well documented. Whilst now in a period of much reduced use, the vehicle has been regularly maintained and MOT’d. Recent attention has been given to the brakes, suspension, wheels and tyres (Toyo Proxes all round). The leather interior has also had a refresh by marque expert Nick Fulcher. The history portfolio includes the aforementioned service and MOT documents plus an alarm certificate, radio/CD instructions and a factory Certificate of Provenance and much more. Two owners’ manuals and two sets of keys are present and I have undertaken an HPI check, showing no adverse information, with a copy on file for the benefit of the next owner. J738 OGV is a very late example of an Esprit Turbo, with just 10 examples completed between 1991 and 1992. There are, therefore, one or two unique features, probably indicative of it being a run-out model, which make this car quite quirky. Presented in a very good cosmetic condition and in a super mechanical condition, this vehicle is now ready for its’ next enthusiastic owner. For further information and to arrange a viewing, please call Guy Munday on 07718 385168. Many thanks for looking! 3. Rare 1987 Lotus Esprit Turbo HCi Giugiaro Non runner due to previous owner starting to replace the wiring loom for some reason but not finishing it! Engine turns over freely by hand. 4. As I am in the market of hoping to buy an Elise, before they are out of reach for me, hoping to sell my Eclat as soon as possible. Right hand drive Lotus Eclat 1979 with 66000 miles (about 108000 km) black leather seats. UK papers. Bought this Lotus Eclat a few years ago from Belgium, but it has had little progress with restoration over the years. Engine compartment has been refurbished, engine does turn manually and working now on the interior. As you can see carpet and insulation are present. In the meantime progress will follow. Headlining is done, but not to happy about it. As the windscreen is not fixed yet, the next owner can still consider whether he wants it differently. Black carpet has yet to be fitted. Chairs should also be refurbished or simply put back. the Lotus badge, letters on the back and the plate of Formula one is present. Body is OK though some minor damage in area of the headlights, left door hangs a bit, but do have a spare door hanging /hinge? of a Excel. The chrome window frames are also present, but still loose. tailgate, front cover and headlights must also be reattached. New belts, oil, filters present, only needs to be done and then the engine has to be brought back to life! Car needs restauration or be looked after, checking if everything is OK, for the photo I put the headlights in place, but are not connected. The 2 workshop maps and even original owners manual of the Eclat are included. Several Eclats for sale at the moment in Europe for much higher prices. This Eclat is certainly not the worst, seen worse cars for more money, but is at least original and wants to sell as soon as possible. Who wants to restore this increasingly rare Lotus Eclat Price EUR 4800,- / GBP 4110 The post Lotus Eclat appeared first on View the full article
  5. A super looking Esprit S4 and the only example in the UK to be finished in this colour, Palacio. More usually associated with the Elan M100 S2 (and used in publicity material for that model), this colour was never officially offered on the Esprit and only two were specified, with the other being made for the USA. With the current owner for ten years, the car has benefitted from exemplary servicing by Esprit guru Gerald Turner and is now presented in an outstanding mechanical condition, with a recent change of cambelt and an upgrade to the braking system, a replacement clutch, manifold, catalytic convertor, and fuel tank, plus much more. The accompanying box file of information, shows servicing, as follows… September 1994 1441 miles Ryland Lotus June 1996 5245 miles Bell & Colvill (Lotus main dealer) January 1997 6126 miles Bell & Colvill January 1998 8715 miles Bell & Colvill May 1999 12270 miles Bell & Colvill June 2000 15306 miles Bell & Colvill March 2004 29699 miles Motorland May 2004 31586 miles RBS Ltd January 2005 36587 miles Morland Jones (Lotus specialists) January 2006 39120 miles UK Sports Cars (Lotus specialists) January 2007 39296 miles UK Sports Cars Whilst there are invoices covering the intervening period, service information is scarce until in 2012, the current owner purchased the vehicle and entrusted its’ care to Gerald, at GST Performance, as follows… June 2013 62024 miles GST Performance June 2014 68181 miles GST Performance March 2016 75584 miles GST Performance March 2020 78750 miles GST Performance Current mileage is 79050 and the MOT certificate is valid until November 2022. In between services, the vehicle was a regular visitor to Gerald, with all of the work listed above plus lots more undertaken during the current period of ownership. I have driven M640 LOB forty miles and can confirm that it drives superbly, with the brake upgrade being particularly beneficial to the overall experience. All of the usual tasks have been attended to including a fuel tank, manifold and cambelt replacement. Additionally, the vehicle sits on a set of nearly new Goodyear Eagle tyres, the recommended tyre for the Esprit S4. Accompanying the vehicle is a box file of invoices and receipts plus many previous MOT certificates. The owners’ packs and two sets of keys/alarm fobs are, of course, also present. I have undertaken an HPI check, showing no adverse information, and a copy is on file for the benefit of the owner. For further information and to arrange a viewing, please call 07718 385168. Evenings and weekends always a pleasure. Many thanks for looking! The post ESPRIT S4 – UNIQUE COLOUR, GREAT SERVICE HISTORY! appeared first on Click to view item

  17. A rare opportunity to purchase one of the officially recognised last 15 UK Esprits (its status denoted on a brushed aluminium plaque on the glovebox). This Esprit features on the cover of current issue of Absolute Lotus magazine. This V8 SE was delivered in March 2003 and is officially recognised (certificate of provenance from Lotus Cars) as the final Cobalt Blue-coloured Esprit delivered in the UK. Has matching blue/grey full leather interior. It has covered 23k miles and is believed to be one of just 11 of the final batch of 15 UK Esprits that remain in the UK, as three have been exported and one written off. This Esprit is currently on a personal plate that is NOT included in the purchase (will revert to SL03 GDK). It has had two previous owners and has full documented service history and full paperwork provenance. Lotus main dealer annual services and recently maintained by renowned Lotus specialist Max 500 in Guildford who carried out a B Service and timing belt change in June 2021. The car will be offered fresh from service with a new MOT. Full details of the service and maintenance history and documentation available to view to serious enquirers. Open to sensible offers from serious potential buyers. The post 2003 Lotus Esprit V8 SE (final UK batch) appeared first on Click to view item

  20. A Lotus Elise S1 in the best colour of metallic Azure Blue, with a Viking Blue leather interior and a blue soft top. The current private plate will be retained and replaced with an ‘R’ registration. Supplied with all the available options when new and with further additions along the way, the comprehensive specification includes… Metallic paint Leather interior Auxiliary driving lamps Radio fitting kit Cobra Category One alarm K&N air filter Elemental shower cape Battery conditioner Bilstein suspension upgrade Red mirror covers – for enhanced visibility to other road users Owned by the same family since 2011, the vehicle was purchased as a gift to the owners’ daughter to be enjoyed when she would be old enough to drive; the plan being to enjoy some quality father/daughter time and to include the odd European trip. Sadly, with a career that involved extensive overseas travel and with life generally getting in the way, this ambition was only very occasionally enjoyed. As a result, the vehicle remained in storage for a period of time, receiving regular care, before being subject to a major service last year. The fully stamped service book confirms the history as follows.. November 1998 4110 miles April 1999 6260 miles August 2000 14101 miles August 2001 18080 miles August 2002 26877 miles July 2003 33471 miles October 2004 42100 miles March 2006 49381 miles September 2008 57670 miles September 2011 59150 miles April 2015 61672 miles There then follows a period of inactivity, until… September 2021 61773 miles The last service, by the local main dealer, was undertaken on a ‘no expense spared’ basis with too much work to mention here but the not-insignificant invoice is here to be inspected when you view the vehicle. Alternatively, please call for a list of completed work. Current mileage is 61890 miles and the MOT certificate is valid until October 2022. Accompanying the vehicle is the full owners pack, most previous MOT certificates since new and, of course, two keys. I have undertaken an HPI check, showing no adverse information and a copy is on file for the benefit of the next owner. The vehicle is in a top mechanical condition and wants for nothing. Cosmetically, the condition is good but the next owner may wish to improve upon this a little, at their leisure. Located in South Norfolk – the home of Lotus. 21. Hi, Me and Matthew Oxley have been working on creating a SS radiator frame for the S1 and S2. So after a lot of fettling and two prototypes we have now successfully had fabricated several of these frames. We had to have more made to get the economies of scale to work for us but that means we have now got a couple left over. This is one of the major weaknesses of all the Esprits. The kit will come with what is pictured i.e. 4 x SS bolts, Spring washers, large washers, aluminium rivnuts… and the frame with components pictured. These really are very pretty things…. Both me and Matt are very happy with the results. As you can see in the pictures; the mild steel original frames are generally battered and rusted through…. First come, first served.. but if there is a really strong demand I can contact the fabricator to have more made up….. 22. A rare limited edition Elise Type 72 with just 16900 recorded miles. The Type 72 was a 2002 limited edition celebrating probably the most recognisable and most successful Formula One car of all time. Raced for an incredible and unmatched six seasons, the Type 72 rewarded Team Lotus with three constructor’s championships and two drivers’ championships with a career that resulted in an astonishing twenty grand prix wins. For most of this time it was, of course, painted in the famous black and gold livery, recreated on this Elise limited edition. Part of the Heritage Collection Series, unique features include metallic black paint, gold wheels, gold alcantara seat centres, steering wheel centre and door panels. Proudly displayed on each front wing are the gold victors’ laurels, reminiscent of those applied to the rear wing of the race car following each Formula One win. The gold laurels are also embroidered in to the head restraints and a dashboard mounted heritage plaque, in the style of the Formula One chassis plate, confirms its’ limited edition status. This particular example was supplied by North West dealer, Lotus Ribble Valley who also provided it to its’ second owner in 2003. The vehicle was enjoyed sparingly until 2009 when an accident befell the owner, rendering him incapable of enjoying the car for a long while. PJ02 OOD was, therefore, placed in to storage and remained unused until liberated by me in 2021. A programme of repair and replacement has been undertaken to restore the vehicle to its’ former tip-top condition. Mechanical work has included a major service including cambelt, renewal of the braking system, replacement of all fluids and a huge amount more. Cosmetically, the vehicle was preserved in an outstanding condition, in keeping with its’ remarkably low mileage. Accompanying the vehicle is the original owners pack. There are a couple of service stamps, from 2002 and 2003 by Lotus Ribble Valley but, other than that, the next stamp was entered by my company earlier this year upon completion of the remedial works. The MOT certificate, with no advisories, is valid until April 2023. If you are looking for a full service history, this will not be the car for you. In conclusion, a very low mileage example of a rare and very highly regarded limited edition Elise which is now awaiting its’ next caring owner to cherish it and to treat it to the open roads once more. 25. Hi, I am selling my Lotus Esprit Turbo SE 1990MY. I have owned her for just over a decade now but haven’t driven her for around 8 years. She has covered just over 106k miles but never smoked and always pulled nicely through the gears. I took her off the road and placed her in a barn as I needed the wiring harness for the ECU to complete my long running project (another SE). So the car is looking a little worse for wear on the interior and does require a full retrim. I did start this with varying degrees of success. I would say that she is 98% complete. The only things that are missing that I can see are ECU wiring loom (I do have the connectors from a car previously burned out (the connectors survived but the wiring itself got scorched)), The brake servo, x 2 sunroof tongues (small fixings), x 2 oil coolers and the x 2 light pod motors I have misplaced. All of these items should be easy to replace I would imagine and even if they were present the oil coolers in particular nearly always get destroyed on disassembly. What isn’t pictured but I do have is the engine bay cover, The engine bay compartment, the centre trim and the passenger seat, The centre console with all the dials, Passenger side rear light cluster, a rear wing and the front spoiler, engine plenum (with secondary injectors) drivers side door carcass, drivers side wing mirror and the spare wheel. I also have a big pack of history too in a folder. The paint work is actually passable if you wanted to touch up in certain areas etc. The chassis is solid as you would expect and the place where they all go (near the manifold) was cut out and a new tube professionally spliced in around 9 years ago. This is a project car but I think she could be quite quickly put back on the road if someone wanted to get her back there without the frills. door window frames looked very solid from what I could see. As you can see she was pretty dusty when I went to take photos. Looking at offers around the £10k mark. Please let me know if you are interested.
