  1. Is there really a Torx bit in the V8 toolkit? I've acquired a toolkit and its missing one tool. the only image I can find online shows a t20 Torx key.

    In the parts manual it looks like a Torx key as well. However I'm unaware of any Torx screws in the v8??

    Does anyone know or have an image of a complete toolkit

  2. I can confirm that these parts fit. I have the old iron Bell housing pre MY98 and the alloy one for a post MY98. Also the flange is at the same angle.

    As for the clutch fork pivot. The older ball end one does not fit. The base of the pivot goes in an approx 10mm round hole with a shoulder in the casing to match a flat on the pivot. The newer alloy bell housing has a slot for the square end newer pivot and a clearance hole for the M8 bolt.

    However the base of the slot is at the same distance from the bell housing mounting face as similar part on the older iron bell housing. Therefore the newer bell housing could be drilled to accommodate the old pivot or the old pivot could be cut to fit the newer bell housing. Pics to follow

  3. I'm just renewing my insurance and I was made aware of an upper limit to the "market Value"..... Anyway I can either increase this limit if required or get an agreed valuation.

    Currently limit is £30k. 

    I was wondering what I should increase this to. seems to me prices are between £30k and 65K

    Any thoughts

  4. Just changed my alternator with standard tools, easy job car on axle stands. Just awkward to get the thing out needs to be orientated just right. went back in straight away.

    Interestingly the car now runs better at idle and no overrun popping when decelerating. Im wondering if the output has been low from the alternator and causing slight rough running at idle??

    Also hot start is better
