Getting Kmag back is a no brainer in my opinion ; he knows the team, he is a racer - not always the cleanest one - he will be able to provide feedback and be a good yardstick to Mick S. He also does have personal sponsors that may want to join him back in F1.

Masi is out, end of the story, Redbull want to appear legitimate and need to convince people that they acted rightfully in good conscience and Masi being out is not their fault. Mercedes will blame redbull for playing dirty. Masi got caught in the web and ended up being collateral damage. Horner will always be Horner and Wolf will be Wolf. In other news Haas got Kevin Magnusen back on a multi year contract ( I guess that means two years). Mazepin threatens to take his now former team to court while Uralkali want their 2022 money back, as they claim they already paid the full amount of the sponsorship... Who does that?! Also both Mazepin have been placed on the list of sanctioned russian people by the E.U. so even if Haas - which is based in the US/UK out of EU but closely aligned when it comes to sanctions - had any thing to repay they could not.

The design on that face will probably polarizing. I can't say that I like it looking at the render. the LIDAR that pops at the top top of the windshield makes no sens to me, it could have been fixed and not articulated, that solution is not esthetically pleasing to me The 3/4 view shows how much the bumper will protrude... it is not my cup of tea but I'm not on the market for a full size crossover anyway so... The profile is more pleasing to the eye imo. The vehicle is long and rather low slung but the wheels do look ridiculous with low profile tires... Really hope there will be an option for regular properly winter rated tires with tons of thread and sidewalls to fill the void around them. The only way this vehicle makes to me, considering its size, is long distance cruising in poor conditions if the range is indeed superior to 600km on a single charge. But of course it will mostly be seen in urban centres, at upscale malls and country clubs. Well there will definitely be room for multiple golfbags in the truck and definitely four passengers and their carry-ons.

They went with the Cayenne competitor first based on SEA. Some won't have to wait too long for the more compact version This should be a comfortable and sporty SUV with a massive boot. and able to go the distance... Ideal to make the trail to the slopes in style. It is very close to the Zeekr 001 because they are the same car essentially but the Type 132 appears to be riding higher while the Zeekr is billed more as a shooting brake...

Video does explain how and why they are taking their time not to get the thing half cocked. https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/emira/first-drive https://www.topgear.com/car-reviews/emira/first-drive-0 Second link is for the on track antiques of the tester.

Not even, the new one comes from the Geely group parts bin...

The Uralkali case is closed. Haas f1 Team have done their due diligence. Nikita Mazepin is a collateral victim of the conflict but if he doesn't get that the optics are bad he has more serious issues... Which were alluded to by Croft during a recent Ted's Notebook where he describes Mazepin's behaviour as "flippant". I think that the press release could have been worded a tad better but that is just semantics. The fact that Mazepin does not understand that the decision was always going to be unilateral is confusing. Mazepin always appeared very entitled and oblivious to the influence of external factors and the consequences of his own acts. I hope Pietro Fittipaldi gets the seat but money may talk again and I don't think he can bring any.

It is not confirmed yet! However some team partners (1&1, Ionos, Home Deluxe and Cyrus watches) have been activating quite a bit already, mostly around Mick S. but also around Guenther Steiner and also... Pietro Fittipaldi . As anticipated some team partners are likely to step up at least partially to make for the shortfall. Haas will have no real problem compensating I would not mind a return to the black, red and silver livery.

Lotus is preparing for the next gen vehicles, the EV. I don't think many people will try to modify their EVs as no mechanic will have the knowledge to get into the inverter box and start changing settings and coil. I think the ICE vehicles will remain easily modifiable. and if ones buy the car outright one will do what he pleases with it... Trading your modified vehicle in with a dealer is always at the dealer discretion but from experience doing 10,000$ of mods to your car rarely bring 10,000$ extra value at trade in. Lotus agents will enforce Lotus rules on their secondary market that's what Lotus has been working toward with their Lotus Approved program. That's what Ferrari has been doing for a while, don't dare messing with something that Maranello deems perfect you may not get to buy another one of their car if you do. The Emira will be the last of its kind, enjoy it while it lasts

The contract with the Russian GP promoter has been unilaterally terminated by F1. We knew they were not racing in F1 this year, well F1 may never race in Russia in the distant future or ever again.
-
Has the seat manufacturer been identified yet?
-
They retain authorized repair centres to handle the warrantied work, don't they?
-
Not that I disagree with you guys but hum i'll focus on the contractual cause for his dismissal, Mazepin is a pay driver, due to current context (Uralkali money is unable to leave Russia legally, I assume) therefore he can't pay, as a result he cannot pay for his seat in the car. (Actually I bet he could thanks to a few offshore accounts he has access to thanks his daddy but that is another story.) Haas F1 Team is set to receive from FOM $70m USD, their budget is around $120m (rumoured) so they have to find $50m that is an amount that HAAS Automation can manage quite easily, especially considering 1&1 /Ionos are providing $7m to $10m. Steiner said he could go hunt for more sponsorship money if needed, so if he gets another smaller sponsor the company will be in good standing ; they saved loads of cash last year so they must already be in good standing. Besides FOM will make sure they are ok. Haas f1 owns an F1 franchise worth $200m, Mazepin's money is no longer necesary.

Williams did not have much of it either... Ferrari was hit most I heard., porpoising is nothing new for engineers, there are ways to curb it. In other news Mazepin will be allowed to race under the neutral flag of the FIA. However if he can compete he may not be able to travel to some races due to Russian passport holders being unable to obtain visas in a few places at this point in time. Also, still no news on how Haas and Ferrari will deal with their Russian sponsors (Uralkali and Kaspersky). FIA did communicate today that Russian teams won't be able to display russian symbols and no "Russian national teams" will be able to compete in FIA sanctioned event... Which is funny considering that other than the race of nation there are no national teams in motorsport. It must be a relief for the likes of G-Driver and SMP racing which will be allowed to complete under neutral licence at Le Mans 24 and WEC if France and the E.U do allow them in that is.

They better officially leak a blurry image or two of the vehicle along with the name... if they do, that is.

the Elevo brand has been out for a while many do believe it is a smoke screen, but Elevo makes sense. Factory has been churning preproduction for a little while.
-
4 weeks of teaser to come... I think they could have done a bit better in terms of planning on this one.

The ground effect back then was not as effective as today when the cars are litterally sucking themselves down to the ground, because the aero science has moved on quite a bit, the skirt were very effective but the cars aero was still rough compared to today. here: https://www.formula1.com/en/latest/article.tech-tuesday-the-lotus-79-f1s-ground-effect-marvel.sAD9PXt7mC8iMSwwe6CCw.html Last F1 to be formally unveiled the Alfa Romeo (Sauber). I like this livery Note the original wheel cover treatment.

Haas PR team just finished scrubbing the team website, the team is know known again as the Haas F1 Team. They have also somewhat "elevated" the visibilty of 1&1, their german telecommunication partner (linked to Mick Shumacher), we could see 1&1 and IONOS gaining visibilty on the car in Bahrein. I guess they still have to get a new team kit from Tricorp - their new workwear partner - and to figure out a new livery and possibly a replacement driver. while resolving their reliability issue with the car. Fun days ahead for Gene Haas and Guenther Steiner and their crew.

Well sounds logical to me... The perception would be terrible if they kept the branding on. They could have waited to do it but considering the sanctions, it could have been providing free advertising for money that would not come with international money transfers from Russian companies being blocked. Uralkali is closely aligned with the Kremlin, they are being watched and foreign assets will probably be frozen or have been already. I think they could keep Mazepin as their second driver but he is a pay driver so if there's no money, then no honey. Besides Mazepin may find himself in a tricky situation travelling between race as he only has Russian passport - actually cannot believe that he was not "provided" with a Maltese one by the way. The good thing is that Haas has saved all of its development money from last year and assigned it to this year, while Uralkali essentially funded racing and travelling for the season. And now with the budget ceiling Gene Haas is in a better position to fund his team besides Haas got some of their FOM money so their season is safe. I'm really able to undertand how Haas has not been able to tap into the us market for companies to come onboard his program - except for Peak lubricant in the first two years, and MauiJim Eyewear today. I'm not talking about big money sponsor here, just any partner at all. Most of their partnerships have come thru their drivers or Steiner's European contacts. They have done very little activation in the US. I don't know how much their US base, built to great expanse in Nascar country, has been contributing to the team at all as their engineering is done at their new Maranello office and their race hub is near Banbury in the UK. I do command Gunther Steiner for his ability to keep this team together.

April... so Beijing autoshow, logical enough.

this one looks great to me: This is the season opener livery... Alpine did their own version of one more thing. I think it would look ace at night races. https://www.pitpass.com/gallery/2450/2022-Launch-Alpine/#
