  1. I cannot see the point. The car may well have been a wreck and past saving but why would you want a hot tub made from.a car?
  2. As the poorer countries get richer, their rates of population growth will probably decline and the populations will start to drop. The maxi.I'm expected population is around 10.4 billion. Population growth rates have been reducing since the 60's. That's the good news but, as you point out, richer populations consume more resources and I have no idea when or what the maximum resource consumption will be.
  3. Interesting that Luxembourg's NATO contribution is only 0.72% of GDP but its per capita spending is over 50% greater than that of the US. Linky
  4. In many of the wealthy countries the UK included, people overall are not having enough children to maintain the population. Kids can't afford houses so easily so work longer before having children compounded by getting into serious relationships later in life and starting to have children later. This is a problem with an aging population as going people are needed to support and care for old fogies like me.
  5. Never mind. At least you problem is sorted and if that's the only thing you've done wrong, you're doing very well.
  6. I enjoyed it. Some great photography and some good stories and cleverly done.
  7. When I worked at Gaydon, one of the chassis engineers drove it. He was impressed but the suspension was very noisy with the hydraulics pressurising and de-pressurising all the time.
  8. Bought it two days ago. Now I've finished my latest issue of Absolute Lotus I can start on this.
  9. Saw it Yesterday (the 4th). It was heading East on the A45 at noon when it took the slip road to Brackmills industrial estate. Looked very nice indeed.
  10. Found out that Gil de Ferran died yesterday. I worked with him in 2000 and it was a pleasure. We won Penske's 100th CART race, the championship and set the world closed course speed record during qualifying at California Speedway (241.43 mph average speed over the lap). He was a trained engineer as well as a great racing driver which made working with him more interesting. Yesterday, he was racing his son when he felt unwell and stopped then had a heart attack and couldn't be saved. Reminded me of ACBC's demise.
  11. Have a good Christmas, everybody and a happy New Year.
  12. Even though the classified as is still running, it's now up for auction too https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/126235906968?hash=item1d643f1398:g:xrcAAOSwa19ldZwN
  13. I did wonder whether he was doing it for a joke but, if so, he isn't doing it very well as he just repeats himself.
  14. He didn't like it, then. Sounds like the suspension needs rebushing.
