  1. Bingo, that's it Phil! That would work perfectly in my garage. I don't mind the manual aspect of it. Get a buddy and it will go up twice as quick. I would love to find out how to get one here in the States. I wrote to Hamer but they haven't written back.
  2. Thanks for the info Pete. I think I'll hold off a bit until I can get more feedback on how it works with the Esprit. Worried my car might break in half. The Hamer 4 post lift looks interesting as well. I haven't been able to find one here in the States. Crack on!
  3. It's been over 6 months since you've bought this. I'm curious as to how it's working out for you. Any problems using the sills rather than the jack points? I'm seriously considering one of these to do my radiator replacement. I'm tired of getting under the car and would rather be able to sit down and do the work. Thanks. Pete 94 S4
  4. Greetings, I'm having problems locating an adaptor/fitting to accomodate my new pressure switch. I can get 14 x 1.5 male to 1/4 npt adaptors all day long. The problem is that the male section is not long enough, only about 7/16". I need about 5/8" to fully thread into the port. I can't seem to find one anywhere. Does anyone know of a source for this adaptor? Thanks, Pete 94 S4
  5. Thanks for the info Bob. It's the PSW-572. It was recommended by a fellow S4 owner who's been using it for the last 5 years. Because of the lack of a low pressure switch, the brake light comes on when the pump is active. I think I may have a way to resolve that.
  6. Greetings, I just purchased an Omega switch to replace my bad stock ABS pressure switch. The Omega switch has 1/8 npt threads. The stock switch appears to be 1/4 npt threads but I soon discovered that it is not quite 1/4, it's a bit larger, perhaps metric. My problem is that I cannot find an adaptor so that my Omega switch will fit into my unit. Does anyone know the the thread size of the stock switch? Does anyone know an online source to find an adaptor? All my local sources are a bust. Thanks, Pete 94S4
  7. Hi Al, I've got a question for you. I just received my GAZ shocks from the factory freshly rebuilt. Funny thing is, they put rubber stops on the damper shaft, one on each of the rear shocks and two on each of the front shocks. When I sent them out there wasn't any rubber stops on the damper shaft. The front shocks are rather short and I'm afraid the two rubber stops will cause the front of the car to bottom out on the stops. Do your shocks have these rubber stops? I think the PO may have removed them prior to installation. What are adjustment (clicks) are your shocks set at? I have the PUK setup as well but I'm replacing the springs, they are way too strong at 450 rear and 400 front. I'm replacing them with values almost half of that. Thanks, Pete 94 S4
  8. Good point, I'll have to grab a buddy and his car and check it out. On second thought, I could just mark off a mile at 50 and then run it at 100. Thanks. I have nothing against the digital but I'm an old school kind of guy and like the look of the analog a bit better.
  9. Greetings, I have a funky problem with my mechanical driven S4 speedometer. It works fine up to about 75 mph but it won't go much higher than that no matter how much faster I go. I don't know if it's the cable or the speedometer. Anyone else ever have this problem? Thanks, Pete 94 S4
  10. I was sick of the inconsistent boost that the ECU provided so I put a manual boost controller on mine and fine tuned it to ~20 psi. I have the blue race chip as well. I also bought a better boost gauge that reads PSI instead of BAR. I've had it for a few years now with no probs. Pete 90 SE
  11. For the last few years I've by-passed the stock waste gate controller and have used a manual controller. I set the boost to about 20 PSI and it works like a champ. I got tired of messing with the ECU controlled waste gate, you didn't know how it was going to perform from one day to another under similar conditions. I should add that I have an upgraded turbo, the blue race chip, and a free flow exhaust system. I also use NOS on occasion for the extra rush. Pete 90 SE
  12. I have 265s on my 90 SE with no probs. In fact, I could go larger... Pete
  13. I've had a Zex wet system on my car for a couple of years now. It came with three jets, I'm not sure what the exact jet was I put in but I didn't max it out, I think it was the 60 HP jet. Car runs great with it. Pete 90 SE
  14. FWIW... I purchased my upgraded turbo a couple of years ago from Majestic Turbo in Waco, TX. I knew absolutely nothing about turbos and I spoke to the owner (I believe his name is Ken) on the phone for about 45 minutes. He is very patient and explained it all to me, from the figuring out the charts to the different turbo models and hybrids. You may want to give him a shout. Pete 90 SE Added: Just checked out their website. It states that they are under new ownership so the above may not apply anymore.
