'Fire Red' REALLY suits both cars. Very Nice. 😎👍 Suggestion... Get a 'Personalised' plate like 'C8 RKH' has. Then get it cut down by 'Fancy Plates'... fit that for the look and get much better airflow...

Price is spot on, perhaps cheap, IMHO. Risk with private sale... get the car checked out before you buy... Evora's a V reliable (Toyota!)

Interesting observation... But let's not forget the high spec Ohlin TTX dampers fitted to the GT430... great dampers make a huge difference. And of course, some downforce, even a miserly 60kg, is much better than some early Audi TT style 'lift'.

OK... so that's about 64.0kg of downforce at 100mph then! 😉 Must take my wife out with me on track days from now on... in the boot!! 😊

Zero lift is great! 😎 Eg, in fast jets, you can push to get zero lift and as such go 'ballistic'! Fab... no lift, no drag, just keep going! 👍

50 Kgs is a correct number... but that would be at 100 mph! (V squared... double the speed (to 200 mph) so quadruple the lift (= 200kg of downforce)). That is my point... in the 'real' world, on a GT430 track day corner at 100mph, I doubt 50kg extra weight (downforce) would make any noticeable difference...

Ex pilot here! This whole 'downforce' thing is a play on theory. It's real, of course! But in the 'real world' of driving our cars on public roads, even on track days, it makes little to no difference! As you are seeing/feeling. Lift (downforce on an inverted wing is equal to 1/2 density (p) V2 S (V is velocity) S (S is 'wing' area). An Evora 430 at Vmax speed, circa 196 MPH, it generates an aero downforce of circa 200 kg. So at 100 MPH the downforce is bugger all!, less than the weight of a set of golf clubs in the boot over the rear axle! By comparison, F1 Cars are achieving over 4 Tons (4000kg!!!) of downforce... That would be felt! Costs millions to research, develop and build into mega aero on those cars with multi element front and rear wings plus all the other aero stuff on the car! Wings/Splitters/Barge boards etc etc look cool, especially in CF! ... but on our Lotus road cars, pretty pointless.... SO! I would like Lous to publish how much downforce an Evora GT 430 and an Exige 430 develop at 100 mph... (fast corner track day speed). This would be a great 'real world' figure to know.

Agreed! Took one out a few months ago... floored it in 2nd... and asked, 'is that all'! Sure, it makes a nice noise, very smooth engine, typical German build quality. But when the drive was over, I went home into my 118d and was not disappointed!

On the factory tour, the 'guide' said that the front seats are designed to suit the 99th centile adult, whereas the rear seats are designed to take the 1% centile adult! So that leaves either kids, who's feet wont reach the floor, or adults who sit sideways with their feet on the rear seat! Return from the pub use only IMHO! Oh, but also very good for a couple of weekend soft bags :>)

As a serial Elise/Exige owner, my ex-wife once said to me 8 years ago, that the Evora would totally suit me. She was 100% correct on that one! I feel so lucky to have found, for me, the perfect Evora N/A SR. Just as new, mint. I know exactly what you describe in the handling department on UK roads. It's so 'playful' and you can wring it's neck! It dances to throttle inputs, corners like a banshee and brakes like nothing the best Exige can match! Interestingly, I was watching some 400/410 youtube 'Smoking Tyre' vids and other stuff today, and looking at the speedo acceleration shots on roads, both cars do not seem quantum faster than the speedo shots I have in my N/A. Interesting! BUT... I get the looks of the 410 and especially the 430. Both are DDG... WHY is carbon so bloody gorgeous!! And I agree, the Exige Cup carbon seats look the biz in the Evora as well! My heart says YOLO... and next year I may have the opportunity to release some funds into a 410 or 430. But those could equally be used elsewhere! Luckily this is at least 10 months away... but owning the SR has totally hooked me into the Evora. I LOVE the car, the concept, the execution. Nothing for me is on the radar... that is a great feeling :>) I hope the 430 is the last 'hurrah' for the Evora. As has been said, how could it be improved by Lotus...

Prompted by the recent article in the first edition of the excellent new magazine, 'Absolute Lotus', where they did a side by side comparison between the N/A (Bibs!) and a 410, I was wondering how noticeable would the difference be in 'real world' driving, not track days, between the 2 regarding pace and performance. In my Lotus 'past', I moved from my S2 111s to an Exige SC. The Exige 'felt' massively quicker on the roads but on a track day, a well driven 111s could hold it's head high, obviously losing down the straights but really closing the gap under braking and cornering... but that was probably the 200kg weight difference. Both the 410/430 receive brilliant accolades... but is circa £60++ k more performance than a nice N/A with the CR box... ? Interested in peeps views/experiences! Cheers, Pete.

This is an interesting article I thought... Some pretty neat ideas when it was penned in the mid 2000's. Given the design 'inertia' of the Elise/Elise, especially the basic interior of those cars, that makes it even more special. http://www.carbodydesign.com/archive/2008/07/23-lotus-evora/
