  1. As we’ve done for over 15 years Lotus on Track will run a trip to France taking in 3 circuits and including 5 nights accommodation. The aim this year is to keep things relaxed, we’ve one major circuit in Dijon and 2 smaller, more relaxed circuits. We aim to make this a relaxed, sociable trip. We start at the fantastic Dijon Prenois, a circuit we have visited more than any other on ‘Frolic’ before heading south for Circuit du Var before finishing at the fantastic Ledenon, arguably one of the top 5 Lotus track day circuits in Europe. This package includes: The 3 track days, hotel accommodation – 16/8/2021 – 20/8/2021. Accommodation will be for 4 nights. Package conditions: Car Type: Lotus, Caterham & VX220 only – if you have another 2 seater sports car please email Paul (note: Caterham must have full cage) Bookings from those with trailers will be limited. The trip will be as follows: Dates: 16th August – 20th August Circuits: Dijon Prenois, Circuit du Var & Ledenon Accommodation: is room only. Breakfast, drink etc will be charged to you by the hotel. Rooms are for 2 persons – twin or double. Unfortunately we can’t book additional rooms for people not on the trip – 1 room per booking, sorry. We have learnt to only release the hotel names 2 weeks before the trip, if you don’t like this please don’t book – it protects those who have booked. Price: 1000€ (£910) Noise limit: 100db static / 98db driveby – same as previous French trips. 2nd Drivers: FREE – must be experienced track day drivers. Passenger: FREE Refunds – we will refund cancellations in full if cancelled before 1/2/2022. A 10% admin fee will be charged for cancellations between 2/2/2022-1/5/2022. Any credit given after 1/7/2022 will be at our discretion – no credit will be given after 1/8/2022 under any circumstances. NOTE: We won’t be permitting any credits to be used against this package – under any circumstances. You do not need to book via this package if you don’t want to! Places for Dijon Prenois and Circuit du Var will be put in the LoTshop as individual events. Unfortunately Ledenon will not be available to LoT members, it is a private event. 2. COMING SOON Arguably one of Europes top 5 circuits with a history to match the circuit. Home to half a dozen Grand Prixs including the Swiss GP as well as the French. Probably most famous for one of the best races in F1s history when in 1979 the late Gilles Villeneuve and René Arnoux locked horns. http://nl.youtube.com/watch?v=_kcdiRHSjVo If coming from the UK why not make the most with a long weekend – Reims is an ideal stop off on the way or if traveling from the north or head out on Monday via Eurotunnel for approx £50 return, its a 4-5 hr drive to Dijon from Calais, stay in Dijon on Monday night then return to the UK after the track day. Car Type: Strictly 2 seater road legal sports cars only. For further infomation please view our FAQ here. General circuit information: HERE Noise limit: 100db drive by Noise Limits Static test – A noise meter is placed at a 45 degree angle to the exhaust outlet and 50cm away. The car is then held at 3/4 of its maximum rev limit and the highest reading recorded is the cars recorded noise output for the day. A static limit of 105db is very high and very few cars have an issue with this. At 98db cars with a cat, std factory manifolds and exhausts will generally be ok. Anyone with a very loud exhaust/manifold should be careful. Drive by – This test is recorded at track side as the car is moving at track speed. Depending on the circuit the reading will be taken between right next to the track and up to 20 meters away. Cars with forced induction tend to have more issues with drive by, even though they tend to pass static tests as the s/c or turbo’s only kick in when run at speed. There are many things that affect drive by readings from wind direction, air temperature, how low the cloud cover is or even what line you are driving. Close Format: Open pit lane Format A sessioned event means that the day will be structured into usually 3 separate groups which take it in turns to go out on track for a set time, normally 20 minutes. Each car will be restricted to their group for the duration of the day. Drivers are generally allocated a group depending on their experience level or type of car. An Open Pit Lane event means that cars are free to go out onto the track when they choose (providing the circuit limit or our normally reduced limit has not been reached). Close Experience level: All levels Experience Levels All levels: Everyone Beginner: 1st ever track day Novice: 1-5 track days without a major circuit Intermediate: 5+ track days including a major circuit Advanced: Attended a number of open pit lane days at a range of circuits Close Important participant & vehicle information: Please read Participant & Vehicle Information Clothing must fully cover arms & legs. 6. Designed from scratch by former F1 driver Jonathan Palmer, there is nowhere else in the world like Bedford Autodrome. The venue has been purpose built for speed and space with vast run-off areas that provide optimum safety. Whilst there are several track configurations, with every kind of corner, there’s no motor racing at the Autodrome, so there’s no crowd-protecting safety barriers or concrete walls. We are using the 2.8 mile South West circuit – perfect for an evening track day. 9. COMING SOON Fondly nicknamed the ‘mini-Nürburgring’. Cadwell Park’s twisty and undulating nature, winding through open park and woodland, has marked it out as one of the best circuits in the country. Once discovered, it is often a firm favourite amongst those who visit. The perfect Lotus circuit? General circuit information: HERE Noise limit: 105db static Noise Limits Static test – A noise meter is placed at a 45 degree angle to the exhaust outlet and 50cm away. Close Experience level: No beginners please Experience Levels All levels: Everyone Beginner: 1st ever track day Novice: 1-5 track days without a major circuit Intermediate: 5+ track days including a major circuit Advanced: Attended a number of open pit lane days at a range of circuits Close Driver & vehicle safety: Please read Participant & Vehicle Information Clothing must fully cover arms & legs. 18. Another fantastic summers day at Europe’s best race circuit. As with the last 5 years we’ve the Monday straight after the Spa 24hrs – well worth catching one of the great races over the weekend. General circuit information: HERE Noise limit: 103db drive by - 15metres from edge of track & 107db static Noise Limits Static test – A noise meter is placed at a 45 degree angle to the exhaust outlet and 50cm away. 22. Designed from scratch by former F1 driver Jonathan Palmer, there is nowhere else in the world like Bedford Autodrome. The venue has been purpose built for speed and space with vast run-off areas that provide optimum safety. 25. Designed from scratch by former F1 driver Jonathan Palmer, there is nowhere else in the world like Bedford Autodrome. The venue has been purpose built for speed and space with vast run-off areas that provide optimum safety. Whilst there are several track configurations, with every kind or corner, there’s no motor racing at the Autodrome, so there’s no crowd-protecting safety barriers or concrete walls. We are using the full 3.8 mile GT circuit. General circuit information: HERE Noise limit: 101 dB static & 87.5 dB driveby Noise Limits Static test – A noise meter is placed at a 45 degree angle to the exhaust outlet and 50cm away. Close Format: Open pit lane Format A sessioned event means that the day will be structured into usually 3 separate groups which take it in turns to go out on track for a set time, norm ally 20 minutes. Each car will be restricted to their group for the duration of the day. Drivers are generally allocated a group depending on their experience level or type of car. An Open Pit Lane event means that cars are free to go out onto the track when they choose (providing the circuit limit or our normally reduced limit has not been reached). Close Experience level: All levels Experience Levels All levels: Everyone Beginner: 1st ever track day Novice: 1-5 track days without a major circuit Intermediate: 5+ track days including a major circuit Advanced: Attended a number of open pit lane days at a range of circuits Close Driver & vehicle safety: Please read Participant & Vehicle Information Clothing must fully cover arms & legs.
