  1. ** COMING SOON ** Nestled in the sand dunes just a stones throw from the beach and a short drive from Amsterdam this famous circuit is arguably one of the best in Europe. In an Elise it’s up there with the best – Spa, Dijon, Brands GP. Perfect for a long weekend in Amsterdam, Haarlam or just staying in the great seaside resort of Zandvoort. Just a couple of hours from the EuroTunnel at Calais or a short drive from the Hook of Holland for those who fancy a longer crossing from the East of England. 3. Lotus on Track will run track days at 3 circuits including Dijon Prenois. We will not be advertising a Frolic! However, will be offering this package to a small number of those who have supported Frolic in the past and that we can cope with in terms of hotel etc. Our priority is to be able to have a hard core at each of the 3 circuits. This package includes: The 3 track days, hotel accomodation – 16/8/2021 – 21/8/2021, sandwich lunch at each of the 3 track days as a minimum and a central group meal. Accommodation will be for 5 nights. Package conditions: Car Type: Strictly 2 seater sports cars (note: Caterham must have full cage) The trip will be as follows: Dates: 16th August – 21st August Circuits: Dijon Prenois & 2 other circuits. Snack lunch/sarnies will be provided at each of the circuits – only for those booking via this page. This is always more work than it may look like! Cold drinks will be provided at each of the circuits. Crash helmets – £65/75€ – covers for all 3 track days. If you wish to book email paul@lotrdc.com we plan on closing this early. Accommodation: is room only. Breakfast, drink etc will be charged to you by the hotel. Rooms are for 2 persons – twin or double. Unfortunately we can’t book additional rooms for people not on the trip – 1 room per booking, sorry. We will be in Dijon the first two nights before moving to Nancy. Price: 1000€ (£915) Noise limit: 100db static / 98db driveby – same as previous French trips. Evora’s may need to turn off Sport at Dijon in particular, as in the past. 2nd Drivers: FREE – must be experienced track day drivers. Passenger: FREE Refunds – we will refund cancellations in full if cancelled before 1/2/2021. A 10% admin fee will be charged 2/2/2021-1/5/2021. A credit will be given of 600€ for anyone cancelling after 1/5/2021 and before 15/8/2021, this is the first time we’ve done this because we know we won’t be mucked about on purpose by those being offered this package. NOTE: We won’t be permitting any credits to be used against this package – under any circumstances. Anyone with a 2021 season pass will receive a 250€ discount if we don’t open up the track days as one off days, if we do we will also give a 200€ to be used by that person only in 2021. Cash flow is king, or we do the trip under LoT Europe. You do not need to book via this package if you don’t want to! Places for Dijon Prenois will be put in the LoTshop. There is also a chance some places will be offered at the other two circuits as well. Unless things go extremely well with regards to hotel and those who book we don’t plan on opening this package up on LoT as in the past. It’s much easier to look after a smaller group better. PLEASE READ OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS, BY SIGNING UP FOR THIS EVENT YOU AGREE TO ACCEPT THEM. The post French Frolic 2021 | 16/08/21 – 21/08/2021 appeared first on Lotus on Track. 4. Covid 19 – we have put in place some additional measures click here. Although some of these rules may be reduced by this event it is important that you expect that they will still be in place. Our final day of 2020 in Belgium. If this day’s anything like the previous 7 November days in Spa we’re in for a treat – 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 in particular were great, dry, sunny days! General circuit information: HERE Noise limit: 103db drive by - 15metres from edge of track & 107db static Noise Limits Static test – A noise meter is placed at a 45 degree angle to the exhaust outlet and 50cm away. The car is then held at 3/4 of its maximum rev limit and the highest reading recorded is the cars recorded noise output for the day. A static limit of 105db is very high and very few cars have an issue with this. At 98db cars with a cat, std factory manifolds and exhausts will generally be ok. Anyone with a very loud exhaust/manifold should be careful. Drive by – This test is recorded at track side as the car is moving at track speed. Depending on the circuit the reading will be taken between right next to the track and up to 20 meters away. Cars with forced induction tend to have more issues with drive by, even though they tend to pass static tests as the s/c or turbo’s only kick in when run at speed. There are many things that affect drive by readings from wind direction, air temperature, how low the cloud cover is or even what line you are driving. Close Format: Open Pit Lane Format A sessioned event means that the day will be structured into usually 3 separate groups which take it in turns to go out on track for a set time, normally 20 minutes. Each car will be restricted to their group for the duration of the day. Drivers are generally allocated a group depending on their experience level or type of car. An Open Pit Lane event means that cars are free to go out onto the track when they choose (providing the circuit limit or our normally reduced limit has not been reached). Close Experience level: No beginners please Experience Levels All levels: Everyone Beginner: 1st ever track day Novice: 1-5 track days without a major circuit Intermediate: 5+ track days including a major circuit Advanced: Attended a number of open pit lane days at a range of circuits Close Price: £299/350€ Helmet hire: Not available due to Covid-19 Garages: F1 Garages – £170/200€ exclusive, £90/105€ share between 2 cars ** 2nd Driver (over 21): £35/40€ pay on day (Must also be experienced track day driver – no novices – where 2nd driver was Free they must sign on by 8.30 and main driver must be a LoT member or will be charged 40€.) 3rd drivers – 75€. Currently only permitted if from same household – Covid-19 Passengers (18 and over): Currently only permitted if from same household – Covid-19 Not suitable as a first ever trackday. * FREE 1/4 share of a garage: limited availability for early bookings and strictly for those booking 16/3 as well – offer closed 1/2/2020. ** Garages: You do not need a garage – there is lots of room on the apron behind the garages for you to park during the day.
