Only available as part of the French Frolic package
The Circuit du Var is located on the French Riviera near Toulon. The 2.4km track was initially a F1 test track in the 80s for AGS, a F1 team located at the circuit. When the team ceased to operate in F1, it was decided to create a racing school where F3 and F1 cars could be driven, which is still the case today!

ONLY AVAILABLE AS PART OF THE FRENCH FROLIC PACKAGE
Arguably the most fun you can have at a ‘proper’ race circuit with your pants on!
Ledenon is an anti-clockwise circuit providing a roller-coaster ride with steep crests and descents and a superb variety of swooping corners.
Situated just a few miles from the ancient Roman towns of Nimes, Ales and Orange while the Pont du Gard is a few minutes away there really couldn’t be a circuit placed better to take a few days to relax and sight see.
Open Pit Lane – what else would you want!

A weeklong trip that includes 4 of the best track day circuits in France – Dijon, Le Luc, Ledenon & Mas Du Clos.
We start at the fantastic Dijon Prenois, a circuit we have visited more than any other ‘race’ track in France. We’ll then head south to the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region and the very enjoyable Circuit du Var. In a change to previous years, we’ll be staying locally in the Côte d’Azur to make the most of one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe. We then head back up to the roman town of Orange for a return to the wonderful Ledenon circuit which is situated just a few minutes’ drive from the World famous Pont du Gard. It’s then back north to the special Mas du Clos which is on the way home for those returning to the UK, Paris, northern France & Europe.
This package includes: The 4 track days plus hotel accommodation – Sunday to Sunday. Accommodation will be for 7 nights. We expect most people to head off after the Mas du Clos track day to get home or maybe just north of Paris but can offer the Sunday night as well if required. Note: All 4 circuits will be available to book individually, so you are more than welcome to book them and sort your own accommodation.
For a limited time only it is also possible to book the 4 track days without accommodation – booking page coming soon.
The trip will be as follows:
Dates: 11/8/2024 – 18/8/2024
Circuits:
Dijon Prenois 12/8, Le Luc 14/8, Ledenon 16/8 & Mas Du Clos 18/8General circuit information: Dijon / Le Luc / Ledenon / Mas du Clos
Noise limit: 100db drive by
Static test – A noise meter is placed at a 45 degree angle to the exhaust outlet and 50cm away. The car is then held at 3/4 of its maximum rev limit and the highest reading recorded is the cars recorded noise output for the day. A static limit of 105db is very high and very few cars have an issue with this. At 98db cars with a cat, std factory manifolds and exhausts will generally be ok. Anyone with a very loud exhaust/manifold should be careful.
Drive by – This test is recorded at track side as the car is moving at track speed. Depending on the circuit the reading will be taken between right next to the track and up to 20 meters away. Cars with forced induction tend to have more issues with drive by, even though they tend to pass static tests as the s/c or turbo’s only kick in when run at speed. There are many things that affect drive by readings from wind direction, air temperature, how low the cloud cover is or even what line you are driving.
Format: Open pit lane
A sessioned event means that the day will be structured into usually 3 separate groups which take it in turns to go out on track for a set time, normally 20 minutes. Each car will be restricted to their group for the duration of the day. Drivers are generally allocated a group depending on their experience level or type of car.
An Open Pit Lane event means that cars are free to go out onto the track when they choose (providing the circuit limit or our normally reduced limit has not been reached).

We’ve had a number of people enquire about attending both Mas du Clos and Dijon Prenois, especially from UK & Germany. Thus, we’ve decided to offer a package.
Our plan is to drive just over 3hrs straight after the Mas du Clos track day, arriving at our hotel approx. 20.30. Then drive the remaining 45 minutes to Dijon Prenois circuit on the Tuesday morning, it takes 25 minutes from our normal Dijon hotel to get to the circuit on the morning anyway.
If anyone wants to travel with a group we will look at a group hotel for the Sunday & Monday nights – just let us know in comments when booking the package.
Mas Du Clos – One of the top 5 circuits we’ve ever visited. Mas du Clos is truly wonderful, situated in the heart of the Massif Central it’s not only a great circuit but a great place to visit. After being a central circuit to a number of French Frolic’s many years ago now. The circuit was closed down. After extensive works during 2021 & 2022 Mas du Clos reopens towards the end of 2022.
Dijon Prenois – Arguably one of Europe’s top 5 circuits with a history to match the circuit. Home to half a dozen Grand Prixs including the Swiss GP as well as the French. Probably most famous for one of the best races in F1s history when in 1979 the late Gilles Villeneuve and René Arnoux locked horns.
Car Type: Strictly 2 seater road legal sports cars only. For further infomation please view our FAQ here.

Noise limit: 103db drive by - 15metres from edge of track & 107db static

Set in the Cotswolds Castle Combe is often named as the ‘prettiest village in England.’ That’s the tourism side done now moving on to the race circuit ? With nearly 2 miles of wide track and just 12 cars on circuit Combe gives a great track/car ratio, giving all drivers plenty of space.

Folembray – Tucked away in a forest with a house in the centre, Folembray is not a typical circuit. On first glance at the circuit layout, it looks very ordinary, but it is actually a very exciting drive. The trees are very close to the track but don’t let this put you off, it’s a wonderful circuit and safety has been improved over the last couple of years. It has a great mix of four fast sweepers and 2 great hairpins that entertains the novice and still offers thrills for the experienced.
Clastres – A return visit to the full 2700 meter long Clastres circuit with its mix of twisties from the original shorter circuit and sweeping turns and long straight from the new full circuit. Similar to Abbeville for Safety, Clastres is flat with good visibility and decent run off.

Officially opened on March 12, 2010, the Circuit Jules Tacheny was built on a 34.6-acre site with a 13-metre slope over natural hills that guarantee a panoramic view of the entire track.
Being a technical track with quality infrastructure and a central location in Belgium mean the circuit Jules Tacheny is sure to become a favourite for LoT.
The circuit, suitable for both cars and motorbikes, is unique insofar as it can be set up according to who is using it and for what purpose: the event organiser can choose to use one chicane or another as needed.

Designed from scratch by former F1 driver Jonathan Palmer, there is nowhere else in the world like Bedford Autodrome. The venue has been purpose built for speed and space with vast run-off areas that provide optimum safety. Whilst there are several track configurations, with every kind of corner, there’s no motor racing at the Autodrome, so there’s no crowd-protecting safety barriers or concrete walls.
We are using the full 3.8 mile GT circuit.

* Zolder has a procedure where all cars are fitted with a transponder so that any car that breaks the noise limit can be identified. As with most circuits if you break the limit you will be given one more chance only. Although the limit is now higher than in previous years (98db vs 95db) we recommend that you have a cat fitted (this helps to lower noise), this is a legal requirement and you should check your exhaust is working properly.

The Lotus Test Track at Hethel was completely refurbished and updated in 2011 when it was opened by Nigel Mansell. The circuit is 2.2 miles long and with its run-off areas is situated in approximately 30 acres of the 50 acre Group Lotus site. Built to put Lotus’ high performance cars through their paces the circuit incorporates a series of bends, hairpin corners and straights providing an excellent venue for honing driving skills.
For the vast majority of the last 17 years Lotus on Track have been the only club/tdo running track days at Hethel, ensuring Lotus owners can still drive their own cars where they were built.

[LoT]French Frolic 2024 – Track Days Only
in Trackdays
Posted
This package includes: The 4 track days ONLY – if you would like to book the trip including hotel accommodation please click here.
The trip will be as follows:
Dates: 12/8/2024 – 18/8/2024
Circuits:
Dijon Prenois 12/8, Le Luc 14/8, Ledenon 16/8 & Mas Du Clos 18/8
General circuit information: Dijon / Le Luc / Ledenon / Mas du Clos
Noise limit: 100db drive by
Noise Limits
Format
A sessioned event means that the day will be structured into usually 3 separate groups which take it in turns to go out on track for a set time, normally 20 minutes. Each car will be restricted to their group for the duration of the day. Drivers are generally allocated a group depending on their experience level or type of car.
An Open Pit Lane event means that cars are free to go out onto the track when they choose (providing the circuit limit or our normally reduced limit has not been reached).
