Popular Post Sparky 2,830
It finally arrived at the workshop today! Well, approx. 70 yards uphill of the workshop as the huge transporter couldn't get around the corner. Unfortunately it's at that point that I discovered it has no footbrake or handbrake, and no gear selection. Significant time and effort was expended in getting it downhill, but finally it's tucked away safely. This car is going to be a LOT of work. It's full of boxes of bits, and Lucas has more of them. I know very little about the car's provenance. I'm intrigued that the engine has apparently never been started after a rebuild. There's a lot of cosmetic stuff to do. The tax disc is 1992. I won't be getting deep into the car until January, but Lucas will get his first glimpse of it on Saturday, and maybe we'll know a bit more by then. I took a few pics, but these were rushed as I was desperate to get it under cover before the monsoon, then had to get home pretty sharpish. Looks like I'll be quite busy for a few months... @LJR I did offer to take the other car off his hands instead, but he just laughed. Sparky 2,830
So I'm left with the fascinating conundrum of a very shiny engine, with loads of its ancillary bits in boxes, that's apparently been rebuilt but never turned over. So many ways to approach this... Quote British Fart to Florida, Nude to New York, Dunce to Denmark, Numpty to Newfoundland. And Shitfaced Silly Sod to Sweden.

Gold FFM Barrykearley 6,834 Posted December 19, 2018 Gold FFM Report Share Posted December 19, 2018 Look on the positive side - at least it’s almost in one piece. The S4s didn’t have engine, box, fuels tanks or oil coolers in place Quote Only here once

LJR 78
Just back from holiday and got an email from Andy Graham with the Certificate of Provenance for the car. It is the 2nd of 4 UK Monaco White cars with Brown full leather and roof stereo (FYEO spec) across all model years. 6 RHD cars were white with brown leather (half or full). It is the 28th UK Turbo and the 7th non Essex production car produced. Now I just need to finally see it in the flesh
