I will replace one of the rear lights with this support to stream from a gopro (I have remove the interior rear view).

I searched for a round support of 12cm for a gopro but no result.

Of course yes, I forgot you said earlier 👍

Yes. Send a message to Komotec to get more informations about the development.

Maybe @TBD  has more news.

Komotec told me they are expecting to commercialise something around mid year, let's see the final price but if it is not crazy it is a no brainer for an IPS owner

I would say with the installation it should be around 10K Euros. Pure speculation.

Of course a DCT supporting 700,800,900 NM of torque will provide to Lotus owners new opportunities.

DAY 7 :

Installing the carbon parts is a nightmare. The build quality is not bad but the mould/shape is not good. The final result is really NOT professional and quite disappointing... at least for the moment.

The cover of the MX2E is not so bad. I will keep it like that for the moment.

Hi Nicolas

since you have a lot of carbon fiber you could consider covering the AIM cover as he wrote (a few pages further back) Mark030358 and I also think MrP with the system     " How To Hydro Dip Carbon Fiber With MyDipKit "

Hydro dipping was my first plan for this cover.

But the cover is not so bad .

Now I prefer to keep my money for something more useful. You will see soon something pretty unique 🙂 .

I wonder if the DCT will be used to replace both manual and IPS cars or just IPS cars?

For both in my opinion : not so many automatic cars have been produced. From a business point of view with the cost of the development (more than 1 year for KT) manual and automatic cars are the target. You should contact KT for more details, more we are interested more they will push to release something 🙂

Hi @geartox

I have been following your build journey here and good job its really nice to see someone making effort with the IPS version of the exige as there is not many around.

I have an Exige IPS as well and I was wondering what mods would you recommends for someone who likes to drive b-roads and occasional trackdays? Those mods that would be best bang for buck, i live in a hot climate too.

Thank you and keep up with the updates!

All the best.

Hi @LotusMY,

The best modification you can do on the Exige is to remove the roof !!!!

I would say an EX370 modification is a good choice to start with bigger front break disks (ko-bra kit from KT), front is enough to start.

With that you keep reliability with well known piece of hardware/software, increase the performance and security. For the suspension the OEM is really good on road. Maybe you can move to nitron 2-way if you have the money.

On track, for sure, semi slick tyres and the good pressure will transform the car.

Keep the gearbox like that until KT release a DCT gearbox for the V6.

Thanks @geartox thats good advice, because reliability is important factor for me too. What about on keeping the gearbox cool with the transmission cooler, do you think its necessary? heard the transmission can overheat.

I'm quite impressed with the gearbox so far, it ain't as bad as people say you just need to adjust your shift timing :)

yes the gearbox is not so bad. The IPS has a cooler and I didn't notice specific cooling problem with the gearbox.

what is happening here ?

- replacement of the front radiator
- remove AC components

and something quite unusual , a quick release system to remove easily the front clam (for the rear it will be done next year or after...)

The front fixing system inspired from the CUP R of Xavier from the Lotus Cup Europe.

Nice! Can't we persuade you to do the quick release for the rear clamp asap? 😁

the problem is before to have a removable rear clamshell I need removable rear bonnet that means a wing mounted to the chassis.

I am working also with a new engineer, it's already quite challenging for everyone. So this is a test. We will see the final result of these steps before to do something else.
