ric&g 0
Hi folks anyone know what to use to secure the black trims around the screen on an 88 stevens .I lost both parts of the drivers side one on the motorway and now the top one seems to be lifting at the end, I was going to order a new set but without knowing how to secure them this may be a waste of money.I have searched the forum but can't find anything.Any info would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Ric.

Gold FFM Vulcan Grey 251 Posted June 2, 2007 Gold FFM Report Share Posted June 2, 2007 I recently got all the windscreen trim parts cheap from Lotus aftersales. The base parts are bonded beneath the glass, and then the upper finishing part snaps in to that. You can alsu use a little polyurethane construction adhesive (few dabs) to keep everything in place. Or even better get some grom an auto glass installer. Quote Travis Vulcan Grey 89SE My Lotus Photo and Projects Album
ragingfool35 24
I pulled the base tracks out and glued the finishers back in place with black silicone caulk after cleaning the surfaces good about 2 years ago and they haven't moved even after repeated speeds of 150mph Quote chris90SEjust because I don't CARE doesn't mean I don't UNDERDSTAND
