Funnily enough I got a cracking deal today from Lancaster for agreed value on the Elan and then they will pick up the Esprit in August on a multi car deal also with a very decent agreed value. It was a lot cheaper than AIB. Not sure how that will work on an Evora but give David a call he was very helpful.

Thanks. Shall give them a try.

Classic line, found them generally very good and much more competitive on modern Lotus cars compared to AIB, for myself anyway.

I paid around £500 on my old S and just over £600 on my current 400.

Strangely found the opposite, none of the so called lotus specialists could get anywhere near AIB on my exige

I just renewed mine today, it's been manic and so didn't find the time to ring round and get other prices. 4x classic Lotus cars (72 Europa, 2x Excel, Esprit Turbo), and it came to less than £300 even with modifications.

Yes I done even better than that wrapping the 2 cars together then they just pro rata the Esprit in Aug premium also agreed when taking the Elan out.

Wifes car had me as main driver only ever had 3 points and that was when I was 19  (ahem @Bibs) no accidents claims etc. As I am now not the main driver I swapped that over to her.

Aviva renewal: £740 with me as main

Admiral £337. Wife as main

This also means I can now pull all my no claims on to the van so hopefully that is going to come down a lot.

i reckon I could be saving around £800 a year just by getting off my arse and sorting it. That leaves me just about £111,800 short on an Evora 430.

AIB £600.00+

Lancaster £240.00

If that is for the esprit then something not right. AIB have always been competitive on esprits mostly around the 200 mark. Would have certainly queried that.

My quote for just the Esprit alone was for around £130 with Footman James - with a mileage limit (can't remember how many).

With both the Excel and the Esprit, 10k miles (shared between the cars) plus commuting - £290.
