alan.phillips 7
Im afterpanels for the rear luggage compartment in my s1 elite
rjwooll 205
Luggage compartment panels are easily fabricated. There is a floor board and a board covering the fuel tank, plus a battery cover and maybe something the other side - mine has a high pressue injection pump there. There are also plastic trim pieces covering the filler necks, and covers for the rear lights. I believe the boards were all covered in carpet. Find a friendly Elite owner and measure his boot trim! I was wondering about interior retrims. The Elite and Eclat use standard size fibreglass mouldings for the dash, centre console, door trims and rear side trims. I think only the rear side trims are different between the two models. If a trimmer has done this before, then they should know exactly what shapes are needed already - I guess this work on its own takes a fair amount of time. The seats are very similar also. Does anyone know of a trimmer who's already done an Elite? Maybe they can offer a keen price if there are one or two people who need retrims? ATB Richard
Berend72 15
I posted a while ago my great stock of interior parts, centre consoles and dashboard(parts), but received none reply for interest. Should you need anything please let me know which colour interior your car has. I also still have a complete brown 'leather' dashboard in very good condition. Retrimming is another story, but maybe you are looking for parts please let me know.
EXCEL V8 152
The very early rear interiors were also fabricated completely differently to the later ones - built up in a much more traditional way on a wire frame etc, with each side/seat made in one piece. Pete Maybe the later ones as well - my rear seats are on a wire frame and are a single piece each side Cheers, Richard

clivef38 156
Maybe slightly off topic but has any one used foam board to fix head lining behind the cant rails. ? And will the head lining glue to the foam board once given a slight rub over to make a key for the glue. Clive

Itll make a lovely car with that done will only add value Quote Only here once

If you look at their ebay shop they also do other trims - doors, centre console, knee pads, gaiters: http://www.ebaystores.co.uk/J-F-CUSTOMS/LOTUS-/_i.html?LH_TitleDesc=1&rt=nc&_nkw=elite&_fsub=1153129016&_sid=668506186&_trksid=p4634.c0.m14.l1581&_pgn=
alec 22
Hi Ihave retrimmed the interior of my series 1 eclat using the trim bought from mikeeech link .It is excellent quality use a high temp spray adhesive but do not fit the dash trim too tight it will shrink to fit after some warm sun on it.Very easy to fit and it is a good excuse to do everything behind the dash that you always wanted to do whilst you have the dash consul out.The handrake tunnel piece comes with the rear ashtray slot already cut out .If you dont want this as I didnt cover a piece of thin ply in black leather and stick it over the cutout it looks fine Quote A Burgess
