Renewal time again

As the title states, it's that time of year again. Can't believe that 4 years have gone by already since the Evora first graced my driveway - doesn't time fly when you're having fun?

The paperwork arrived today from AiB - £614 bar a few pence so pretty much the same as last year and not bad considering the various modifications made to the car.

Nonetheless, I did a quick trawl around t'interweb for comparative quotes but there aren't that many companies out there offering exactly what I want. There was only one (Flux Direct) offering a cheaper price (£554.20) but their excess was considerably higher, they had a very restrictive mileage limit, and didn't offer any cover for driving other vehicles so that one was dismissed.

Of the 5 others who were willing to quote, 4 of them wanted around the £850 - 900 mark. Bizarrely, Admiral gave me 2 prices - if I was willing to fit a 'black box' (like I'm going to drive an Evora as if I'm chauffeuring Miss Daisy just to win brownie points, ) they'd give me an INCREASE in my premium of £20, :dizzy: .

I've saved the best for last though - Owners Club Insurance Specialists (the name sounded promising) would be happy to relieve me of.................................wait for it............................ £12,135.08!!!! WTF?

So it looks like @AIBinsurance have got me for another year.

That quote looks high @Alfa2Evora. I have just literally renewed with ClassicLine for the Evora 410 Sport at £582 for the year, myself and wife to drive and £82,000 value for the car. It is limited to 5k miles per year but does cover track days, breakdown cover and legal insurance.

I find them really easy to deal with and they even covered my track day tomorrow at very short notice. I have my Type116/VX220 insured with them too.

I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. I'll probably leave it in the same way.
