Popular Post Phlissy 80
I've remembered another Evora trait that I'm finding really amazing; it's bloody good fun even at 'sensible speeds'. One thing I found with my previous Boxsters, is that they only really came to life when pushed. Driving at normal speeds and in traffic was, well, a bit boring and like being in any other car. That certainly can't be said for the Evora! Yes, it's sublime when pushed. But I also really enjoy the driving experience when it's not right or possible to be blasting about. I guess that's down to a combination of the steering feel, the geometry, the view inside and out, and the noise. Owning an Evora is a great reminder of how important it is that a performance car still puts a smile on your face when, frankly, you can't go any faster than the other cars around you. In the past, I've sometimes wondered what the point of sports cars is in the UK, given all the traffic, speed cameras and iffy weather. The Evora solves that issue. It's a fabulous car to drive in any situation. 3

EGTE 168
Let's face it, all Evoras are great, not just the 400. Phil, whereabouts are you in Exeter? We should meet up sometime, or do you go to any of the SW Lotus meets?
Gold FFM jep 1,034 Posted March 3, 2019 Gold FFM Report Share Posted March 3, 2019 I just went out for a small blast. I had a smile on my face just accelerating in 2nd gear at 2500rpm within 1 minute of starting the car. I lifted off at 3200rpm, it was the pick up and noise that made me chuckle. I splashed about on a bumpy B-road for 20 minutes, I did not get over 65mph and never found 4th gear but still had the best of times. I can do all this in an Elise of course but the Evora lets me do this and an easy 500 miles in a day or easy in poor weather or easy on the commute or...……..the list goes on.
