Popular Post mike_sekinger
So frustrated with the AP Racing German distributor. 2 months waiting for the ordered (and paid for) clutch slave. One question though - purely from curiosity/learning - that cable abutment bracket on the top of the gearbox looks to be flexing/moving quite a bit in that video, is that expected? mike_sekinger
Hi Tom, The current arrangement is made from a simple piece of bent 5mm stainless plate that the OEM cable abutment is mounted on. I did also notice the flex, so will add additional support on the open side. There are already some threads in the top of the gearbox that I can use for that. As mentioned before, as soon as you start making bespoke stuff it`s amazing the messing around that is needed to get it right. Cheers, Mike S 1 1 Quote 1996 Esprit V8, 1998 Esprit V8 GT, 1999 Esprit S350 #002 (Esprit GT1 replica project), 1996 Esprit V8 GT1 (chassis 114-001), 1992 Lotus Omega (927E), 1999 Esprit V8SE, 1999 Esprit S350 #032, 1995 Esprit S4s, 1999 Esprit V8 GT (ex-5th Gear project), 1999 Esprit V8SE ('02 rear) 1999 S350 #002 Esprit GT1 replica
