Fan Fuse

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Anyone help with a fan fuse which keeps blowing on my 89 turbo? Fans work OK but fuse blowing with increasing regularity - almost every day now. Tried bigger fuses but still blows. Could it be a bad earth and where do fan motors live?? Under front somewhere??

Steve

Take it this is rhte rad fans ?

Dont increase the fuse size, doing so can cause a fire as the electrics take more current.

Look under the car's front and you see the rad with 3 fans on it, make ture they rotate freely.

If any one of them are stiff or hit anything then it will draw more current - if not then it's likely the motor itself is has started to go on the windings.
