Removable Steering Wheel

Recommended Posts

Due to spinal shortcomings, I need to fit a removable steering wheel. It's a standard 2002 S2.

It's important the wheel be no closer to me, so that may mean a flat rather than dished wheel.

Any experience, suggestions? It's not for racing, it's simply being able to get in and out.

Always park with the right hand side of the car lower than the left and use the tumble out method. (to be done with dignity and much yelling of "I meant that!")

I can't give you any ideas for getting back in though?

I found the B&G kit with a 20mm adapter did set the wheel noticeably closer.

The old style "snap off", though a bit clumsy, with same adapter would be better
