Does the S4 use a voltage stabilizer? - Interior/Exterior/Lights/Glass/Alarms/ICE/HVAC - The Lotus Forums Jump to content

My temp gauge has started to meander dependant on throttle load a smidge. I know the early cars had a voltage stabilizer to stop this that can, in time fail. Does the S4??

Wiring diagrams show one?

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

I can't find a stabilisor in the diagrams for the SE or S4. The regulator on the alternator should be sufficient to keep the voltage well withing working range of the (modern) instruments. You could check the actual voltage at different revs to confirm it's fluctuating or not.

I have made many mistakes in my life. Buying a multiple Lotus is not one of them.
