Engine parts required

Recommended Posts

Hi

I am rebuilding a S.2 Esprit PAB 791T

I need the following parts:

Engine gasket set

Piston ring set

4 x piston liners

Thermostat

Sensor that opens the cooling system

Can anyone suggest the best place to buy them?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris

I'd check out the usual suspects - SJs & Lotus Bits. For engine related items I'd also take a look at PNM.

You also need to post some pictures

I wouldn't bother, it'll cost way too much...I'd also be prepared to offer my garage clearance service for free...😏

Note that depending on the brand/type of head gasket you’re going with, you may need to search the forums to find new, correct (updated) torque/angle figures.

However, this might also apply only to later turbo (low compression [LC] & high compression [HC]) models using new studs (going from an “A” prefix part number to a “B” prefix, or swapping in ARP hardware).

Beautiful car!

I owned that car years ago. Lots of engine problems.

Pity its looking so sad. I sold it because I had to pay a mechanic to fix it 🙂

Good luck,

Jason
