Mark030358 594
Anyone bought and fitted one of these direct from the manufacturer. https://www.aimshop.com/collections/car-racing-loggers-displays If so, does it pass all the regs required to be a road legal device with all the warning lamps, mileage etc. I will drop AIM a line to see, but hopefully someone here can help. There must also be some work involved as KT are selling at circa 4000euros, while from AIM they come in at aroune 1000, a big difference. thanks Mark

One other solution is to have a timed relay connected into the door light switch, so when the door is opened it triggers the dash to be awake, unril the ignition is on Some of the price difference by KT will be the programming/set up time and also the adaptor loom to make it fit Edited July 3, 2019 by Seriouslylotus
Mark030358 594
@Seriouslylotus Thanks Dave, Apart from the ABS is there anything else that would be an issue? I found a thread earlier this morning on here and I’ll give that a good read this evening. cheers Mark ps sump arrived and I’ll get it fitted when I’m back from work

alias23 1,515
Mark you may be best giving Greg at RRR a call as I think he deals in AIM dash and he’s very good... 1 Quote www.alias23.com
Mattmahope 225
RRR have been super helpful in my dealings with them so far. They sell AIM products and also ECUMaster. They recommended the ECUMaster ADU dash to me over the AIM so that is what I am getting fitted.

alias23 1,515
Unsure if this answers your question bud https://rrrshop.co.uk/ecumaster-adu-1254-p.asp It does seem a very good bit of kit but the fascia isn't as classy as the AIM... but given it seems a more ootb solution when going down the ECU Master route its not a bad shout! Popular Post Jack 546
I've found the AiM MXS to be a great replacement for the stock instrument cluster in the V6. I like having the additional info/data displayed in real time on the dash; and, perhaps more importantly, you can actually see the info, alarms, etc. with ease while on track. As result, I just updated my 2-Eleven's old MXL dash (been in the car for almost 10 years) to the latest version MXS1.2 -- love that you can create many different pages displaying different info and scroll through your library of pages to select the desired one with a push of a button. Mark030358 594
So pinged Aim re wiring. Aside from the Can Bus I think I will need 14 hard wired signals to replicate the existing dash alarms, plus say 5 analogues. The attached PDF file shows what I think I need to replicate what I have, while the image represents the AIM connections. Any information appreciated. thanks Cluster wiring comments.pdf
Popular Post Jack 546
Sorry, I can't help you as my car is track-only, so I didn't need to worry about airbag, parking brake, etc., icons/idiot lights. AiM was able to create a CupR ECU driver/protocol with some cooperation from Lotus a few years ago which provides 111 ecu channels -- now included in their library of ECU drivers. I added sensors for additional analogue channels, e.g., fuel pressure, gearbox temp, boost pressure, post blower IAT and duplicate oil pressure and oil temp. Also, added a CAN expansion (AiM LCU-ONE) for lambda/AF ratios. Programming warning alarms/colors/pop-up messages, shift lights, math channel for accurate gear indication, various display pages, and syncing channels to SmartyCam functions was pretty easy. A clean install w/in stock binnacle is what requires some talent, which is above my pay grade. . RRREng 4
@geartox we recommed the Ecumaster ADU dash as it is just a step above the AIM in terms of flexibility and customization. If you check out RRR Engineering or Ecumaster UK on Facebook you can see the different displays we set up for the Exige. But essentially you can design whatever you want, wherever you want it and whenever you want it to show!
