steveoexige 65
As per the title - just found out that my 380 Sport has a factory fitted Lotus gearbox oil cooler - I actually found out because it is leaking but thats another story. Anyone know if this is standard OEM fit or a Lotus option?? (and either way is it any good or is an aftermarket one the way to go?). TA
Mattmahope 247
Can't speak to the OEM cooler, but I did some research and ended up going for the Komo-tec gearbox cooler for my 350 Sport. It's currently being fitted to the car and I will report back once I have driven it on track (next day booked for 29th at Snetterton...)

fjc27 17
Hi Does anybody know if there is a filter on the manual transmission oil cooling system, especially for the Exige sport 380 ? part 37 on this diagram Last time I asked my Lotus dealer to change the gearbox oil, he was not able to tell me if there was one... Is it fitted on 380 and onwards model having the additional cooling system ? Is it fitted on the latest sport 350 models ? It is not clear on Deroure website
Mark030358 616
Looks like item 37 fits in item 4?
fjc27 17
yes 04 is " Filter & Check Valve ", before 5 - oil pump https://www.deroure.com/diagrams.asp?TBL=12052&MAK=1&MDL=40&SMA=0&SMO=0&ST=&SC=
Eugene888 0
Sorry to barge in on this post but I cant seem to find anything related to my question on the gearbox for my 410 sport. Is anyone able to advise where is the gearbox refill point or hole for an exige 410? I am having trouble trying to figure out where is the refill hole for this gearbox. On a V6 S there is a fill bolt. But on the 410 there is a hose in place of that bolt.
Seriouslylotus 450
Fill through the return feed from the cooler, You can see it if you look down on the gearbox from the left side/ rear of the car (rear off gearbox) looks like it was used as a speedo pick up from the original installation
alexw 0
Semi-related, the pump that is shown in the line drawing above looks much like the setrab pump, eg this https://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=29887 Which, based on my limited research, is one of the better options out there. (I'm not affiliated with pegasus or setrab)
