The Pits
A car for the ages. More pics please when you get some. It’s nice for those of us in Europe to see Lotus cars far from home against a US backdrop. I bet it looks small but also very light and agile over there. Enjoy and keep us posted. 👍
Popular Post ken2020
It's a really great feature that Lotus installs a clear bra over the complete front end and head lights. Probably pays for itself in warranty claims. The installers came to the house because they went to the dealership and it was already sold.😁 They had seen it at the port but only did the cars that they thought would truck out first due to time restraints! Both had told me that it's the best color out of all of the GT's. The upside is that the side decals are not permanently on the car. It was a rough decision but I pulled them off. I'm just not into a long term commitment like that. It's always cool that they want pictures of the car because it looks so good. Great thinking Lotus on the paint protection.
Spinney
That looks lovely. I’m surprised Lotus didn’t use the GT410/430 front though. I’d have thought it would make more sense to keep a common front end, especially since the 400 has been dropped from the lineup. But hey, that’s just a minor detail and the car still looks gorgeous. I went past the Lotus dealership outside Toronto earlier in the week and desperately wanted to drop in but we had an appointment to keep. ☹️

ken2020
The 400 front bumper just screams 1968 Corvette. Makes me wonder if marketing likes it for that reason in America. I totally dislike it but it's overlooked when the rest of the car is factored in. Good thing I don't see it while I'm driving. The 410/430 Nose makes it look like a world class sports car.
Spinney
I agree and much prefer the 410/430 front end. I'm also not keen on the very open grilles to the 3 air inlets which are similar to those on my V6 Exige and used to let all manner of road detritus in to partially block off the oil coolers. I used to regularly have to remove the grilles to clear behind them. Having said all that, it is a very minor criticism and had they not redesigned the front end, I would probably be sitting in one just like this. au-yt
Each to there own I rather like the 400 front the lines in it reflect more of the edginess of the front EVORA design and is what attracted me to the car in the first place. The 430 front looks like an Elise so i suppose there is the family resemblance or visa versa. I am surprised that the 400 front was used on the GT as another style was a way to distinguish it

I actually prefer the rear to the painted GT410 one. The GT430 with exposed carbon looks better still. 2 Quote I came into this world screaming and covered in someone elses blood. Popular Post ken2020
I've been working hard to secure the first set of Öhlins for the Federal Evora GT. Fed Ex showed up with my Christmas package. Going to sleep a lot better when these are finally on the car. Can't wait to get the car on the 7 post shake rig at OhlinsUSA and see how these perform. Don't worry they will get high speed adjusters before I'm done😊 Nothing like having a little fun at work. I will Dyno them next week when I get back from the track. This is a great place to start improving the Evora.
au-yt
Sorry, what I don’t get is why people want modify a car before it’s even been run in or driven any distance to appreciate what it is like to start with.

I with you on that - esp it should be considered that on public roads the abilities of a Lotus Evora are normally much higher than what is appropriate for a sensible use (not to mention that the abilities of a stock Evora are much higher tahn 99 percent of the drivers, ....no, I am not one of the 1 percent😉 ...just to clarify

I race motorcycles, several of them being Italian. I have done the same - put $10k worth of parts on a $25k bike before it hits the track for the first time. We justify it in the name of racing where every little advantage helps. Mostly, it's because "you can" - you have the taste and means so why not? Some people buy $10k handbags and others buy million dollar paintings. It all comes down to "because they can" OP, more power to you! Keep us posted man!
