Evora Supercharged Spark plugs ILFR7B8

Recommended Posts

This has been discussed on the various LOTUS V6 Forums and it appears that the NGK ILFR7B8 plugs are lotus spec only. I contacted NGK in Australia and they have no listing.  Any one found an aftermarket source?

A search of this sight for the part got this discussion result, https://www.thelotusforums.com/forums/search/?q= ILFR7B8

The Lotus part A132E6503F is the NGK ILFR7B8 and they cost the same from Lotus or NGK, about £120 for a set in the UK.  There have been some discussions on here about nearly-equivalents, as you've found.  NGK say the LFR7AIX is their closest equivalent and is dimensionally identical but has a shorter recommended life of 40-50K miles compared to the ILFR7B8 at 80-100K.  But note the Lotus service schedule recommends replacing the ILFR7B8 at 54K miles, so if you use the LFR7AIX you may need to replace sooner than their 40-50K.  You'll find LFR7AIX for about £90-100 a set, so not sure the saving is worthwhile compared to the Lotus recommended one and shorter life.

NGK In Australia didn’t stock them as an aftermarket plug, however I did get a set of 6 from a local eBay store for $141.00 AUD. Inc delivery..
