Brake Pads - Ride/Handling/Suspension/Brakes/Wheels/Tyres - The Lotus Forums Jump to content

Driving fast roads in the mountains last week, 3-4 hours of repeated braking every few mins from 80mph to 20mph led to some significant squealing and fade when the brakes were hot.

I am using the standard Ferrodo pads, but think that I need something a bit more performance orientated but that still work when cold.

Someone has suggested pagid RS29, does any one have thoughts or recommendations?

I used to use RS29s on my car. They were developed by Pagid for endurance racing and are an improvement on the RS14 pads. RS14s are what Lotus Motorsports used to fit to their race cars.

Because they are more of a track pad, you will find that they squeal a bit until they are warmed up. But I can almost guarantee that you won’t experience any fade with them. Particularly on the road.

I can highly recommend them.
