what colour should the electric wing mirrors be?.........
were they body coloured or were they just satin black????

Upgrade today to remove Google ads and support TLF.

This picture of an S1 Elite at launch shows chrome finish. The parts book says the non-electric mirrors were Cromodora. Those in the picture look like these. I am pretty certain that the electric mirrors would have been chrome or black, not body colour. I think body colour mirrors are a relatively recent styling feature anyway.

By the way, does anybody know the location of that picture? I'd be interested to know.

You can't get those Cromodora mirrors for love nor money. Fetching 500 quid a set if you have them.

The base and arm are chrome but the body of it is black.......

Lots of pics of the same mirrors seem to be black.......but I'm just checking

It looks a lot like one of the wings at Hampton court Palace, it looks like there are grander Sections of the buildings behind.

My '79 elite had electric wing mirrors that had chrome base and stems and satin black body. There were a few different variances though I think
