Suspension bushes - rubber for most, but poly in strategic locations?

Recommended Posts

I'm replacing all of the suspension bushes in my '74 Elite.

I like the idea of the car being more comfortable than razor sharp, so I was planning on going with rubber bushes all around.

That said, I've read that the anti-roll bar does better with poly bushes. Are there other bushes (aside from the ARB) that are thought to be better off poly?  By "better off" I mean that I likely won't notice that they are there (low noise/vibration), but know that they will last longer; OR that they are so much easier to install that a little NVH is worth it (thinking of the front lower link)

I did the rear trailing arm in poly since to replace it I think the body has to be moved... I could be wrong on that. My ARB is poly, the rest is rubber. I've not driven it at all so can't comment on how it drives so this is just my two pence worth...

When I did mine SJ Sportscars recommended poly for the ARB and rubber everywhere else - and they were selling them to me!  Likewise I can't comment on drive quality, I'm a ways off that point yet...
