Troyboy
One of the last 430 Cup cars has just come for sale at Bell and Colvill. Brand new car that pays homage to film The Spy Who Loved Me. That aside its a really good looking car imo. Is the difference between the 350 Sport and 430 Cup worth the price hike. Genuine question for you 430 Cup owners.
Bispal
Yes, if you have the money. Most 430CUP owners came from 350 or V6. If you don't have the funds a 350 Is still a great car. But the 430CUP is definately worth the extra.
BatMobile
Agree with bispal, I came from a 350 and the difference is massive despite seeming quite small on paper. all exiges are epic but the 430 is just that little bit more special. Troyboy
The difficulty is that it is more than twice the price of my car and I love my car. However I would like a 430 Cup and the chance of having a new one will never come again. I'm going to have to do some serious thinking. It is the 1st new 430 Cup that I've seen for sale that I really like.

It's a one off car, unique, I still feel great about mine with no regrets 3 years later.

barabba
Can you still buy a 430 Cup ? Is it still in production ? Sorry if that's a silly question...just wondering (just bought one, so I'm ok 😉)
Troyboy
I don't know barabba. I thought all order books for the Exige were closed a while ago.
Bibs
Yup, the Exige is no longer available to buy new unless a dealer has one in their own stock at present. They are no longer in production. https://www.thelotusforums.com/latest-news/lotus-cars-news/production-ends-for-lotus-elise-exige-and-evora-new-era-ramping-up-as-another-draws-to-a-close/ Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Hi mate I’m a bit late to the party on this thread but if you can afford it I wouldn’t hesitate, they’re worth every penny and will likely go up in value in the future. Worst case scenario you could always sell it if you needed/wanted to but if I were you I would certainly go for it. You’ll be more disappointed in future from missing this opportunity compared to any feeling of buyers remorse and in the very unlikely event that does happen the car could always be sold. It’s literally the last opportunity to buy a new build Cup 430 😍 I justified buying mine by assuming my kids will be able to sell it for £million pounds when I pass away in 50 years 👍😂😂😂 1 2 Quote Simplify, then add lightness
Gold FFM jep Posted April 16 Gold FFM Report Share Posted April 16 I've seen the Bell and Colvill white 430 CUP. It's been in their service reception for a few months. I photograph it every time I am there..... Which seems to be a lot at the moment 🙂 Now I'm a sucker for a white car. The tartan just adds to the temptation plus the silver wheels. It is totally yummy and if I was not in selling mode, I'd probably be discussing this with Jamie at B&C. Hopefully a TLF-er buys this gem Justin
Troyboy
Well I think it's been sold but not to me if it has. I appreciate the comments and I'm sure you re correct Mitch.
Toqcars
A month ago we were discussing production numbers... I heart some rumors that there are approx 20 Lotus Exige Cup 430 Final Editions produced. If there are truly 145 Exige Cup 430 produced from the 2017 on, that would mean 30 per year (averaged). Which is quite close to the rumor. Maybe someday would someone be able to officially confirm those numbers

Toqcars
Isn't it reported just for a particular market the vehicle was ordered for? So if the Exige was made for UK market, numbers on CoP are just for the UK market, isn't it?

Find it difficult to believe. If that's the case, this would be a seriously rare car considering it was not a limited production run. Toqcars
They were pretty sure about it. They said that there were more 3-11 produced than those cars. I guess that the "those cars" were related to the 145 Cup 430 produced. But let me highlight it once again... all those info is unofficial. Hope that Lotus will be more open about the production numbers one day.
Bibs
They are on the Certificate of Provenance. 1 Quote 88 Esprit NA, 89 Esprit Turbo SE, Evora, Evora S, Evora IPS, Evora S IPS, Evora S IPS SR, Evora 400, Elise S1, Elise S1 111s, Evora GT410 Sport Evora NA For forum issues, please contact the Moderators. Bispal
Lotus made and sold 3,350 cars in total from 2017-2021 when the 430CUP was available. So any Lotus is rare as they have only averaged about 650 cars a year for the past decade. Usually the UK market share for sports cars is 10% of global, that works roughly for every manufacturer. However USA and many other markets did not get the 430CUP, or any Exige. There were around 50 sold in the UK so 150 world wide sounds about the right number including Europe, Australia and some far east markets?
