Mystery Holes in Floor

Recommended Posts

Just going about trial fitting interior pieces, pedals, HVAC unit, etc. and have come upon 2 holes in body for which I have no disassembly photos by which to identify. They are about drain hose size, both going through the floor where the right side of the tunnel meets the top edge of the floorboard. The area is covered once the HVAC casing is in place with no apparent connection with that. The HVAC drain hose finds its way under the carpeting, straight down the crook in the body to another hole right at the bottom of this section, so that's not the answer. This is a LHD car with A/C if that helps, and any thoughts are welcome, as always.

Cheers

Well they're not big enough for 'Flintstoning' when you run out out fuel, so other than that I haven't got a clue.

Smuggling?

All we know is that when they stop making this, we will be properly, properly sad.Jeremy Clarkson on the Esprit.

Opinions are like armpits. Everyone has them, some just stink more than others.

Hah! I'm old enough to get the Flintstone gag at first glance, but chatter regarding smuggling is simply not on! Looking forward to travels south of latitude 49 and our American cousins guard the border with a fortress mentality.

Review of an undercarriage photo of a very well kept Federal Commemorative  S2 seems to show the same hole in the horizontal top floorboard surface not in use. Peculiar. Perhaps a late change of heater matrix supply entailed revised piping?
