EGTE
A good article I thought. We can bemoan the fact that most people prefer mainstream cars, but this article does at least explain why a few of us still love the Evora.
Jason is Chasing
That's a really good article, and I love that the author wasn't scared to use emotion in his writing, I hate reading non descript spec sheets, his ability for description I think is brilliant, and captures what appears to be a fever.
cobwatch
Good grief, someone gets it...A very positive review! "if superlative ride and handling are the number one priority, the Evora is still the class of the field" https://www.pistonheads.com/news/lotus/2020-lotus-evora-gt410---ph-review/42740
Popular Post jonwat
Nice words from Steve in this week's Autocar Sure, it was raining, but which idiot would pass up a chance to do some half-quick miles in the latest Lotus Evora? Especially since this was the GT410, a refined version of Hethel’s flagship. It was offered at an event at Caffeine & Machine, the coffee-and-eats haunt for car lovers not far up the Fosse Way from me. This model is familiarly known as ‘Phil’s spec’, because Lotus CEO Phil Popham decided soon after his arrival that there was showroom space for a calmer version of the firm’s quickest car, and he has been proven right. It had been a while since I had driven an Evora, so I found the car a total revelation. Of course it goes and sticks to corners: it’s a Lotus. But what amazed me was the Evora’s all-speeds poise, the amazing refinement of its low-speed ride and the ridiculously low levels of road noise, with those last two qualities setting standards even Porsche can’t match. During a (controlled) blast on local roads, I found myself thinking fond thoughts of the late John Miles – Formula 1 hero, suspension expert and former Autocar hack – whose expertise and indefatigable efforts have found a very happy home in this car. 4 Quote Cheers, John W http://jonwatkins.co.uk

Popular Post EGTE
I liked the "Phil's spec" Evora so much, I've just bought one. Wanted something as soft as the NA but with the performance/interior of the S2s and the GT410 delivers that in spades. Seems much quieter (NVH-wise) too. Will be picking up on Monday (currently being prepped /PPF-ed at Topaz Detailing). 12

EGTE
Would loved to have kept both, but very happy with the GT. Hope the new owner enjoys the NA as much as I did.
Popular Post Markindevon
Hi @EGTE, Just went over to Hendy to look at the Emira - persuaded my better half to come along as I'll eventually need her buy-in to getting one and we came away having placed a deposit on your old car! That was unexpected 😆 I thought I'd be waiting a couple more years for my first Lotus but, with any luck I'll have it in a couple of weeks! I saw you'd upgraded the head unit... would love to hear any history or info on other changes that you've made etc, it looked in beautiful condition. I'm rather excited! 6

Saw @EGTE's new car and meet Russ in the showroom, had a number of chats with Scott from the factory. An interesting time today. See they have another new GT410 for sale now, must be one of the last ones available.
Whitey
I was there yesterday and the Burgundy red GT410 looked great and the colour was not far off the Magma red colour sample they had. Magma was a bit brighter and sparkled nicely in the sunlight. Loved the GT410 inBurgundy with silver wheels and wil prob go Magma / silver also. I paid a lower price, however still a lot of money......GBP 118.500,- (todays exchange rate) and traded in my '90 Esprit Turbo SE (in immaculate condition) for GBP 31.875,- I am extremely happy with this GT 410 Sport, which I purchased new after being the 2nd Esprit owner for 28 years. I am retired, 78 years old and also have a Mazda Renesis RX-8 HP, a Mazda 2 1,5 GTM and a 1975 Honda Goldwing GL1000 K1 ( with 11.000 mls.) that I overhauled from 2015-2016 (1.200 hrs labour), still as new.
