Gold FFM C8RKH 6,791 Posted February 18, 2017 Gold FFM Report Share Posted February 18, 2017 Liberally speaking, they are irrelevant in UK politics these days but it seems no-one has bothered to tell Mr. Farron that, but then no-one listens when he speaks anyway. Andyww 1,303
Just when things couldnt get any worse for Remain with Tony Blair popping up again, Alistair Campbell has now started writing articles in support of Blairs speech! That should be the final nail in the coffin.

basalte 108
Thursday 6th November 2006 : "Don`t do that Minister. That star (on that Security Pass) is what will get you admiitted to the bunker in the event of a nuclear war" "Where is the bunker ?" "Seven floors down from where we are now sitting. We can arrange a tour if you like" "Have the Blairs been round ?" "Yes they took a look at the Prime Minister`s quarters". "And were they satisfied ?" "No as it happens Mrs Blair didn`t like the decor. They had to redo it " (conversation between Tom Watson MP and a senior MoD official as recounted to Chris Mullin Labour MP in his published diaries) Friday 21st April 2006 "Apparently Cherie Blair charged the Labour Party £7,500 for having Andre her hairdresser attend upon her throughout last year`s election campaign. Yet more fuel if any were needed, for the notion that the New Labour elite live on another planet from the rest of us" Chris Mullin`s diaries. ....and they wonder why the Left in the Labour Party do not like Mr. Blair and the rest of his privileged parliamentary plotters trying to oust a leader who with all his faults has 300,000 votes to his name.

The French have been housing them in centres but they abscond and go back to Calais to have another go. It has been stated by people who work in Lunar House in Croydon that as soon as these "refugees" are processed the first request many of them make is for official papers to be issued so they can go back to where they started out from for a "holiday" ! The same is happening in Germany, in winter many of the new arrivals went back because the weather was too cold!
ChrisJ 1,508
Ah..... Lunar House. When my wife (and I) went there to get her permanent leave to remain - her being Ugandan at the time. We were interviewed by Firstly, a Ugandan lady - she told us, and we had a long chat about home Secondly, a lady from Eastern Europe - her accent gave it away. The only people we thought were probably native British were the security guards at the entrance and keeping control of the queue.
Andyww 1,303
I also did the Lunar House thing many years ago. There was a huge scam uncovered a while back with people taking bribes to hand out leave to remain stamps to their fellow countrymen. I expect it still goes on. The other thing about that "Child Refugee" issue was when the press rumbled them, instead of making sure they brought in genuine children, they erected screens around the front of Lunar House to blobk the press from checking up on the migrants. And they wonder why people get annoyed!
