LOTUSMAN33
Thanks Ian, don’t think it is going anywhere in a hurry so may take you up on that. I’m in the same vote and have three people wanting to view the Evora but being in the South West means travelling for everyone. Good news I guess as don’t think it will hang about with its great condition. The Australian JPS is looking like a no win unfortunately as the owner want pretty serious money for it, he has a firm offer I have left with him. I am in discussions with other cars though so not end of the world, would have been nice to repatriate though. I should post these pics as does make me question my reasoning to go back to the Esprit 🙄 Dave 1 Quote Do or do not, there is no try!

cweeden
Hi Dave, When I bought my Evora the plan was to sell the Esprit, however the Evora stayed with me a few years but was sold a while back and I still have the Esprit. Must say something (if you need help convincing yourself 🙂 ) cheers -Chris

If local I would have gone for a look but don’t think I would get over 250 miles without the rozzers getting me even in the Evora 😁 perhaps Bibs would have a look 3 Quote hindsight: the science that is never wrong

I think that showed a genuine market value considering you can lose £20k into the restoration very quickly. For me this is a £8-10k car max where it would probably actually sell. It does have potential with a restorable interior in a nice scheme. I have been offered several better cars now at £8-10k already, one of which I am seriously considering at the moment 😉😁 Dave Quote Do or do not, there is no try! LOTUSMAN33
I thought I had seen the U.K. Sportscar S2 before, it sold through Anglia car auctions last June for £18200 including fees. https://angliacarauctions.co.uk/classic/results/results-from-saturday-15th-june-2019/1979-lotus-esprit-s2/ I still like this car as reminds me off my first taste in an Esprit at around 15 years old after it got P/x’d into the family garage for a 1991 RS Turbo Escort which was 2 years old at the time. Same colour as this car only with black seats and inserts. I remember the oil patches on the drive, I was devastated when it got traded off for a gold 1980 928 Porsche 😥 It’s what started my obsession with the Esprit hence buying my first one (1978) at the end of my Apprenticeship 5 years later after saving constantly 😍 I remember telling my uncle and his reply was “ we knew you would buy one but you’re going to hate it as low, slow and unreliable! “ Good job we don’t listen at that age 😂 Dave 1 Quote Do or do not, there is no try!
